It’s Tim Sykes here.

I have so many students that you can learn from right now. It’s not just me! And we all use the same framework to trade.

I have over 40 millionaire students now …

And it’s not just the millionaires.

Every day there are countless students who meet in the chat room to help each other learn and grow as traders.

My millionaire students show up in the chat too. Their usernames are in red text.

Take a look at an example below from yesterday, December 3:

There are so many resources that new traders can use to learn this process.

And in this hot 2024 market … It’s paying off! Take a look at the post on X below:

Here’s HOW we’re trading and WHAT we’re trading …

How We Trade:

All of my Challenge students have access to my past trades.

You can follow my trade process to a T on each stock! Take a look at an example below from yesterday, December 3:

Plus, a lot of my up and coming students are sharing their trades too.

It goes to show, you don’t have to trade with a $16k position size like I did on SNTI. There are traders just like you who start with a small account, and they’re finding success.

The patterns that we use come from this framework.

I used to tell my students to focus on one pattern at a time. Too many patterns can be confusing for a new trader …

But in 2024, my students use AI to track the hottest stocks that follow my patterns.

Get the next AI trade alert!

Now … A trader could understand these patterns perfectly … But if they don’t trade the right stock, they’ll get the wrong result.

The Right Stocks:

I already made a blog post this week about the right stocks.

Take a look.

If any of this sounds repetitive … GOOD!

We trade the same patterns and the same kinds of stocks over-and-over again. It’s not rocket science. But it does take time to get the hang of.

Until you become self-sufficient as a trader, my millionaire students and I are here to point you in the right direction.

Live trading webinars are a perfect study tool.

I can give you my trading watchlist

And I can show you my past positions

But the best way to learn is to watch it happen in real time. That way you’ll get to hear my thought process as the price action develops.

There are more opportunities the rest of this week! Don’t miss out.

Cheers.

The available research on day trading suggests that most active traders lose money. Fees and overtrading are major contributors to these losses.

A 2000 study called “Trading is Hazardous to Your Wealth: The Common Stock Investment Performance of Individual Investors” evaluated 66,465 U.S. households that held stocks from 1991 to 1996. The households that traded most averaged an 11.4% annual return during a period where the overall market gained 17.9%. These lower returns were attributed to overconfidence.

A 2014 paper (revised 2019) titled “Learning Fast or Slow?” analyzed the complete transaction history of the Taiwan Stock Exchange between 1992 and 2006. It looked at the ongoing performance of day traders in this sample, and found that 97% of day traders can expect to lose money from trading, and more than 90% of all day trading volume can be traced to investors who predictably lose money. Additionally, it tied the behavior of gamblers and drivers who get more speeding tickets to overtrading, and cited studies showing that legalized gambling has an inverse effect on trading volume.

A 2019 research study (revised 2020) called “Day Trading for a Living?” observed 19,646 Brazilian futures contract traders who started day trading from 2013 to 2015, and recorded two years of their trading activity. The study authors found that 97% of traders with more than 300 days actively trading lost money, and only 1.1% earned more than the Brazilian minimum wage ($16 USD per day). They hypothesized that the greater returns shown in previous studies did not differentiate between frequent day traders and those who traded rarely, and that more frequent trading activity decreases the chance of profitability.

These studies show the wide variance of the available data on day trading profitability. One thing that seems clear from the research is that most day traders lose money .
