…I’m SO honored to be this year’s recipient of The Autism Movement Therapy’s Visionary Entrepreneur Award!
And I’ll be honored at this gala charity event November 11, 2017 in Beverly Hills, which is also Larry King’s 84th birthday party.
If you remember, a little while back I got interviewed by the legend himself HERE and now I’m excited to be attending his birthday party along with a bunch of other celebrities too you can see in this Hollywood Reporter article about the event.
I would love for you to attend if you’re in the LA/Beverly Hills area, you can see more event details HERE and I also made this video lesson below just going over a bunch of questions I’ve already gotten about this award:
And my apologies for not having good enough wifi to upload the awesome new hourlong Q&A interview I did with Tim Grittani, it’ll be posted tomorrow so please set aside an hour and be ready to take notes…I REALLY like doing these long-form video interviews with my topstudents as they demystify what’s needed to become a successful trader.
Remember, some like to claim they’ve had success, but until you show me EVERY single trade publicly, both good and bad, I don’t believe a word anyone says in this industry full of scammers…my apologies for my cynicism, but I’ve seen so much BS over the years, full transparency is the only way to know who’s real and who’s fake.
Anyway, sorry to go off on a tangent, I’m excited about this award and charity gala and I hope to see many of you there!
In many ways, being honored at this event and having Larry King in attendance is like coming full circle as a trader. If you saw/listened to the interview (which is featured in Episode 2 of the Steady Trade podcast, by the way), then you know that Larry and I got pretty deep into conversation about what it means to be a day trader. We talked about my personal motivation as both a trader and, in more recent years, as a teacher and mentor.
The fact is, I was able to figure out trading penny stocks early in life. I used my bar mitzvah money to start day trading. My parents gave me permission to do so; they thought it was my lesson to learn and probably figured that I’d probably lose it all. But instead, I ended up finding incredible success and became a millionaire by my early 20s.
I do give my parents a lot of credit for giving me the space to discover myself and grow as a trader. But ultimately, it was my own hard work, obsessive learning, and devoted practice that made me a millionaire. I observed the market, I got trading, I figured out what worked and what didn’t. From there, I was able to devise reliable ways of delivering returns.
But I matured as a trader and as a person, and after some time, my focus shifted from getting rich to helping others do the same. Having money is great, don’t get me wrong, but I wanted others to be able to benefit from what I had discovered and uncovered as a day trader. I can honestly say that teaching and mentoring the students in my is my true calling. Making money is incredible, but helping others make money is like creating a revolution.
In my Larry King interview, I really got the chance to detail what it is that I do and why I do it. I got to explain what it means and entails to be a penny stock trader. But even more importantly, I also got to share some of what my personal values and goals as a teacher are.
By helping others help themselves, I am investing in the future. This improves people’s lives and financial situations. And as I have learned, when you have resources, it’s important to spread the wealth. I do this through both my teaching and my charitable work. Moreover, it’s an incredible honor to be recognized at an event like the AMT 2017 D.R.E.A.M. Gala. I’m excited about this award and charity gala and I hope to see many of you there!
