TIM - Transparent Investment Management

No more hiding behind BS lawyers and industry regulations, no more BullShip generalizations, these are the investment strategies of TIM. All others in the finance industry who refuse to share such information are cowards and frauds.

The stock market is so incredibly full of BS, hype, manipulation and lies. It’s no wonder that so many investors and traders are confused–with over 90% of traders losing money! How can you invest with or listen to anyone when you can’t see EXACTLY how they make money?

I’ve already turned thousands into millions once before, now I’ve gone back to my $12,415 Bar Mitzvah gift money roots to repeat my feat so you can see EXACTLY how I do it. Every trade and trade idea detailed for your learning and earning pleasure. The best part about my strategy is that anyone can do this–no Ivy League diploma, no wealthy connections and certainly not much intelligence required. It’s all about dedication, adapting to evolving patterns and a willingness to learn.

And, as you’ll soon discover, I’m not even that great at this. So, if I could turn my $12,415 Bar Mitzvah gift money into $1.65 million in 4 years–and despite my lack of formal trading and discipline, control my losses, too (never use leverage!)–you shall benefit from my experiences, both good and bad. Like Archie Manning guiding his sons to the Super Bowl, something he himself never even achieved, I will teach you to be more successful than me.

This is no BS get-rich-quick scheme, it’s no BS magic investing formula, these are the lessons I’ve learned and rules I’ve put in place over the past decade that made me a millionaire before my 22nd birthday and helped preserve my capital in spite of my personal failings. If you want it badly enough, building great wealth using my strategy is possible and, more importantly, sustainable. Learn from my successes, learn from my failures, learn from TIM!

    TIM,

YOU CRACKED ME UP LAST YEAR ON CNBC CHALLENGE. I ACTUALLY MADE MONEY ON SPIL, THANKS. LOVED HOW YOU CALLED “ALL THOSE GUYS” CROOKS. I TRUTHFULLY HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYONE SAY THAT ON TV. NO WONDER WHY I HAVE NEVER MADE MONEY IN THE MARKET AFTER INVESTING WITH BROKERS FOR 20 YEARS! I’M TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO INVEST FOR MYSELF, HAVE READ YOUR BOOK, AND AM, FRANKLY, SURPRISED AT ALL THE CRAPOLA THE STREET DISHES OUT TO US FOOLS. YOU CUT THRU THE CRAP. THERE ARE SO MANY OF US OUT HERE THAT NEED YOU. I APPRECIATE YOUR HUMOROUS INSIGHT! THANKS, ANNE

    Hello Tim,

I am impressed with what you have accomplished. I believe that a small group of savvy investors can have a magnificent outcome. I am starting an investment group with five women. We will invest regularly and we want to have a dynamic club. How does your tracking plan work for us? Do you write a blog entry every day making your comments about the market?

Thanks for the compliments, I write market commentary, detail my trades, write asides all to help you better understand the market from ympoint of view. Nothing is simple, if I tell you to buy a stock and it goes up, you make money, but what have you learned? No, I want you to understand all the variables, the players, etc. So I suggest you check out my book and possibly my DVD–both will give you a lot of background info–and check in on my blog regularly, I’ll have new posts up all the time.

Feel free to ask me ANY questions whatsoever, preferably in the forums (will be up shortly) so everyone can learn together!

Nice job of speaking the truth about the market and sharing excellent tactics on how not to be manipulated. It always amazes me to see how many people become happy when someone suffers a drawdown. 35% over a two year period, taking into consideration your exposure and risk reward levels, is not that earth shattering.

Stay the course, continue to speak the truth and you will always be rewarded.

Tim, how do active traders like yourself make money in the market when there are significant costs in getting in and out of equity positions?

I assume you are paying a fee for every buy and sell of an equity in a single day just like retail investors and even if you had a deal on trading fees, capital gains taxes must be biting into your returns since you aren’t holding for up to one year and a day which means your tax rate on capital gains is 35%.

Any information on how you are reducing trading friction would be much appreciated, thanks.

    February 28th, 2008 at 1:36 pm

Fees are minimal, commissions negligible. Taxes suck, but thats the price u pay for being a speculator. These profits and losses are after fees and commissions but before. Good news for me is I have a $300k loss I’m working off so I’ve got a ways to go before I have to worry about taxes anytime soon

    Hi Tim,

I’m a new viewer of your very interesting site and, looking at your list of daily trades, cannot tell when you’re short vs. long in a stock. From the list, I assume you are a day trader and always trade just one stock (long or short) each day — true?

I own COIN on the long side and am confused about your trade today, March 3 — you show that you sold COIN at $14.97, but it appears it only hit a high of $14.85 today… can you explain please?

    Thanks!

    Hi Tim,

I found this great site and have tracked it the past few days. Saw that you bought and sold COIN. I had the same question as Joanne about the $14.97 sold price. I have another question, are those stocks that you list displayed in real time or do you update the site at the end of the day with your buy and sold price. I was just seeing if we can duplicate your buy and sell stocks as you do it. Wasn’t sure if that was possible.

    Thanks,

    James

I trade as many stocks that fit the patterns I look for, sometimes its 3-5, but usually it’s just 1-2. Also, since I’m under $25k, I’m limited in how many trades I can make.

My sell on COIN was after-hours, actually missed the top by about 20 cents, but I had a meeting the next morning so I couldn’t risk it. All my trades are verified by Covestor who taps into my brokerage account.

If the stocks are liquid enough and I have time, I post real-tie in the comments section of whatever blog post is up and in the forums. I really don’t want to deal with front running and I’d rather teach people the process than to allow them to just ride my coattails. Since I’m not a great trader, students of my DVD will pick these patterns up sooner, so, ideally, one day I won’t even be needed anymore and I’ll be free of these patterns that have basically haunted me for the past decade (I can’t help but profit from them!)

    Hi Tim,

I am BIG Fan of yours after reading your SUCCESS story…..Wow that gives me a big boot to cover my losses I made in stock market. I would like to learn from you and achieve success.

I have few questions in my mind.
Every trade with tdameritrde is costing me $7 and I can only do day trades only 3 times in consequetive 5 days…… How you are able to do more day trades in consequetive 5 days??
Also, can you please suggest me which broker are you using?
    OR
How to find good deal on trade commissions?

I appreciate your INTENTION to help losers like me.

  12. 12timsykes

    March 7th, 2008 at 5:24 pm

I use Thinkorswim, commissions are about the same (all rather negligible if u focus on the right trades), but they’ve got the best damn customer service ever:

    http://www.thinkorswim.com/tos.....de=0907_02

and i trade just a few times/week, i questioned thinkorswim and they said iw as fine as long as i don’t abuse margin, so who knows anymore. once i get over $25k, it’s on because then I can do my dozens of daily trades that I normally do.

    Hey Tim,

    Great site!
Your book is great too. It opened my eyes in lots of different ways.

I know you’re the ‘teach a man to fish’ type of guy and I am all for that, and appreciate it, but I wasn’t clear on whether or not you actually post your trades before you make them. Do you post what trades you plan to make before you make them?

    Thanks.

Unless your account is worth 25k, they (brokerages) limit how many day-trades/trades-in-general you can do in a single trading day???

with all due respect… bullshit. I’m not pumping you up either (no pun intended). When someone succeeds at something (like you have) and then shares how they achieved that success, the way you do on this website, through your book, & DVD set, THAT is what, not only defines GREATNESS, but also defines a great person!

And you’re the real deal… you’re not a f$^#*ing scammer! THAT is what I dig… THIS IS REAL, not total BULLSHIP!!
