In 2+ years of writing this blog, I hadn’t gotten one complaint from any of the companies I write about, but when I wrote this post asking if BioMedReports.com pumped & dumped IRBS and after being compared to Nazis, I did a followup post on BioMedReports.com co-founder Mike Havrilla, linking him to a paid stock promotion site…encouraged by their removal of a disclaimer that said Havrilla got paid by paid stock promotion site….I had BiomedReports founder Garza & the CEO of IRBS emailing me complaining about my posts.

So we had all had a nice little chat and I basically apologized for my nasty attitude towards them as Garza denied all links and affiliations with any paid stock promoters, which is good enough for me considering I’m no private investigator. I was especially apologetic to the IRBS CEO for calling his company a “piece of shit company”…I should have said limited my remarks solely to their steadily downtrending longterm stock chart as with a chart like that I barely even looked at the company itself (remember, I’m a trader not an investor…longterm possibilities mean little to me)

And to be fair, it’s not easy being a penny stock CEO or penny stock research site…history teaches us 99.9% of penny stocks fails so it’s difficult to claim any one penny stock will actually come through on any of their hyped up potential, but then again, there are a handful of penny stocks that have made it and more importantly, many penny stocks have made a ton of $ for their investors during the peaks of hype and hope…ZAGG Inc. (ZAGG) spiking from $1 to $8 back down to $2 being the latest example.

And while I criticize hyped up penny stock articles and marketing tactics–hey, that’s the only way to get people to buy these stocks and if the stocks rise enough, the companies can actually have a shot at raising enough $ to have that slim shot of succeeding…and you mark my words–the cure for cancer will come from one of these fledgling biotech companies, maybe not a penny stock, but it is a noble pursuit to be a startup biotech….far nobler than a guy with 4 newsletters….just as long as that biotech is actually focused on the science rather than their stock price as far too many firms sadly fail to do.

And while I barely read through the IRBS/BiomedReports.com report (habit of being in this industry for too long, even if IRBS was the needle in the haystack, I wouldn’t know it from one that isn’t since I’m not a biotech guy and I highly doubt anybody else out there can tell the difference between marketing gibberish & reality (BiomedReports.com would have you believe they can, but I don’t have the time, talent or inclination to prove that either way), I simply don’t like the way Garza & Co.

As for Havrilla, he has emailed and telephoned me that he has officially separated all contact with the paid stock promotion firm and even before he claims to only have managed their subscription business. Now he ust doesn’t want there to be any appearance of a conflict of interest. Again, no way for me to prove, disprove that, but just given the fact that these guys are actually complaining about what I write, well, that puts them in their own category…and makes me write this apologetic post.

While my emotions did get the best of me in my original posts (I have since edited them a bit), I told Garza and Havrilla that I’m still watching them as penny stock reality demands that everyone down here in the gutter be assumed guilty before proven innocent….but they’re nowhere near as big targets as jokes like BestDamnPennyStocks
