$2,00ish profit day for the TIMalert subscribers listed below:
Shorted 2500 JBII @ 3.29 took about 1.5 hours but I covered @ 3.12. It’s too illiquid for me to stay in even though there’s probably more downside. Gain of $427.
-brader
BIOF..Covered at 3.11 plus 480.00.
-zulobb
+409 on MEDG short
-curtly
+450 snss, saw support holding, plus 2 days worth of short sellers waiting to get squeezed, out at 1.50
-BN
-$200 loss on LLFH – you move illiquid stocks way too much, I gotta stop going in on these illiquid ones with you
-Andrew
Had 3000 SNSS @ 1.67 short, on the first upspike I covered @1.55 for 300$ gain. Small position, could have kept it into aftermarket for at least 700$ more profit, what a waste looking back into the future… Thanks
-Mikel
-216 LONG LLFH, hoping for the breakout which never happened…
+20 SHORT RXII, don’t ask why, very illiquid, got into it green/red intraday but volume was too low…improbable play so I got out quick although it is due for a drop…trying to follow the Tim rules!!
-BC
-300 on LLFH
-BN

Thanks Tim! . . . . Kinda.
-JohnCA

Sonic Solutions (SNIC) broke out biggggg from 10 to 11.50 on news of a big fat $30 million financing right at 9.70…notice the difference between a company that can raise that much $ at current market prices versus pump & dumps like NPHC, HEB and all the others that raise $ at 50%+ discounts because that’s the only price they can raise $, potential buy, everyone’s gonna compare this to NFLX and now with the money in their bank, they actually have a shot.
L&L International Holdings Inc. (LLFH) failed to breakout so I sold for breakeven…some got better, some got worse executions, no easy way to cut losses on OTCBB stocks…goal was that to be the position in which shorts were in, but with the overall nasty market meant it never really had a shot…potential buy still as it could be
Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ACHN) I mention because I want to show you how easy it is to predict price action based on the previous day (even though many people can’t understand why I focus so much on yesterday’s price action)…yesterday’s watchlist I said: “…probable morning spike followed by more fading followed by an afternoon battle to determine whether it can stay positive and squeeze the shorts or squeeze the longs by dropping under $3…” Look at the chart HERE…bulls won, the morning spike happened from 3.05 to 3.50 in 15 minutes after the market open (Not TIMalerts related, that’s just how these stocks trade at key pivot points, learnnnnnn!) No play now, just a good lesson
Pier 1 Imports Inc. (PIR) I saw the stock breaking out on positive earnings past $5 in the morning, but hesitated and then hesitated some more in the afternoon when I thought about how tough it was to correctly play the similar LZB and LLFH breakouts…potential buy, but these real companies aren’t gimmes
SMC Recordings Inc. (SMCE) and Jbi Inc. (JBII) dropped 10% and 15%, respectively, both pump and dumps, one is blatant and the other is not, but both are potential longterm shorts since these companies are most likely worthless, as evidenced by how thousands of pump & dumps over the past few years end up…JBII is actually a short-term potential buy if it drops a ton as an alleged CEO email says he needs the stock over $2 to apply for AMEX and they could release fluffy news to hold the stock up if it drops a ton, but only if it drops a lot more…finding shares to short on either is nearly impossible.
Optimized Transportation Management, Inc. (OPTZ) has been pumped higher from 25 cents/share to $1/share in 2 days…good luck finding shares to short…it might run a bit more, like former pumps SMCE and BGEM, this will likely be a wasted pump & dump, it’s just too blatant and everyone wants to short it.
Infinity Energy Resources, Inc. (IFNY) is the shady potential 3 billion barrels of oil finder…stock is holding near its highs and is a potential buy…yes, I buy sketchy stocks too as the worst companies in the world can rise the quickest…potential buy ONLY if it breaks out to new highs on strong volume.
