Going to Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai, Kong Kong & Macau…gonna be at the Great Wall during Friday’s LiveStock, anybody know how good the internet is out there?

The cool thing about being the top-ranked trader out of 25,000+ on Covestor is that they’re sending me overseas to promote the brand and learn kung fu so I can come back to the US and kick the crap out of all those “gurus”, financial commentators & newsletter writers too chickenshit to report their actual income, trades, investments and track records (if you’re subscribed to any of them, don’t ask DEMAND they provide you with figures or else you’re going to cancel and sign up for TIMalerts because you know I report everything openly).

No, that’s not true, my girlfriend and I are just going over there to be adventurous, enjoy life and sniff out potential business opportunities in a country with far greater potential than this old place. But it would be cool if I had the skills to actually inflict pain on these scumbags who pollute what should be a great industry, unfortunately, I’m just a writer/teacher not a fighter (my guess is it’s gonna take years for the not-so-revolutionary concept of full transparency to make it way mainstream….kinda like equal rights for different ethnicities…that’s right, these cowards/frauds are no better than slaveowners because they promote injustice!!!)

But I digress.

We’ll be gone August 4th-September 3rd, hitting up such interesting cities as Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, along with some Huangshan mountain climbing, Guilin kayaking & Xi’an sightseeing…if you guys want me to do anything for you over there such as:

-tutor you in the art of PennyStocking if you’re gonna be/live in China
-visit any shady Chinese companies you want us to research on your behalf
-meet up with any cool people you think we should meet while we’re over there
-visit any place/restaurant you think we need to try
-etc., etc., etc.

Seriously, this is how I roll, using my blog to discover new people, places and things.

These are the voyages of this trader/teacher/blogger. My lifelong mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no man has gone before.

    I was born in Hong Kong and lived their for eight years. Amazing place and a fun city. Where you staying in Hong Kong? I recommend the Peninsula as I have been there multiple times and it is fabulous. Head over to Mauco as well and go to the newly renovated Vegas 2 they have build. Quite impressive. How long are you in Hong Kong for?

    Studied ancient chinese history for a bit.. if I was in China for a month along with the Great Wall, I would definitely check out the Mausoleum of Shih-huangti, the first emperor of the Qin dynasty.

    This “high frequency trading” has got to stop. Has everyone heard of that? Tim, please give your 2 cents worth on this. The computers that make the trades are so fast, the average trader can’t keep up with them. I was watching an investment show, and the interviewer asked the so-called expert if the SEC should step in and do something about it, he basically said…”well, we have to make sure that it is illegal or that there is something wrong with it.” Nice way to cover yourself, buddy. If we traders don’t protest, the scales will be tilted in favor of the people who make the trades using the high speed computers.

    thats crap man your not visiting singapore.

    the internet in the great wall is pretty good if you have the mobile broadband there. so if you have a blackberry your good. i was at the great wall 2 months ago and it was pretty great there go to the badaling great wall and explore there man its pretty awesome and dont forget the terracota warriors will be expecting your pictures in facebook man. no wifi in the great wall though. internet in china is pretty good assuming you can navigate around the restrictions always think vpn connections.

    You should go check out the IFC (international financial center) in Hong Kong. THis is where the infamous Hong Kong Stock Exchange is. Also, where batman flew off in Dark Knight. Let me know if you’re interested my brother lives and does business in Hong Kong. I can set something up.

    Oh yeah, and if it’s not too late, skip Xi’an. They’ve built this redonkeylips shopping plaza around the terracotta soliders and you have to walk a mile from the entrance to the statues. Plus it’s boring. Unless you’re really into clay, avoid it like that town that has the plague.
