Why I’m Raising DVD Prices Tomorrow On May 24th At Midnight EST

Posted by Timothy Sykes on Sat 23rd of May, 2009 12:29:49 PM

If you saw LiveStock on Friday HERE or read THIS post you know you have just about 36 hours to order any of my instructional DVDs from the TIMstore before the price of each DVD package increases $100 Sunday night, May 24th at midnight.

Why?

Mainly because I’m getting waaaay too many emails and comments from people who have no business trading in the first place. People who are using rent money, borrowing from friends and relatives and employing excessive leverage in order to try to get rich quick.

Considering PennyStocking is on fire (TIMalert subscribers have made over $150,000 in May, $35,000+ last week alone (see testimonials HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE), I’m up 16% in May and now 348% over the last 18 months), I don’t blame them…but in the hands of those too desperate for immediate gains, PennyStocking becomes risky. For those kind of people are unable to take small losses, something which is required for successful trading.

And as much as I want everyone to learn the game and profit alongside TIMalert subscribers and I, I will do everything in my power to keep those people who shouldn’t be trading, but rather mowing lawns and taking sure-paying jobs to build up their savings enough so that one day they can and should open trading accounts.

For despite all my wonderful testimonials and ridiculous track record, PennyStocking is not for people who (for whatever reason) require immediate profits (thus making it impossible to focus on learning and earning over time).

PennyStocking always has and always will be about profiting legally from the existing hype and manipulation in the penny stock market, whenever the ideal opportunities arise. Unlike every other financial niche, there aren’t great opportunities every single day so patience is required.

By raising my DVD prices $100 each, I hope to weed out those too poor/desperate to learn and trade patiently while proving that I’m not just about making DVD sales (which is what some of you concluded when I was doling out lower prices/deals…you morons, I was trying to entice you to learnnnnn from my hard-earned decade-long experience in this niche!).

I have little doubt, this will negatively impact my sales, but it’s the right thing to do going forward. And, as you see from my personal trading gains and my now thousands of customer testimonials, spending $100 more or less on educational products doesn’t even come close to mattering if you can learn to profit form these trading opportunities over time.

I do understand times are tough right now so you have 36 hours, until midnight tomorrow night on Sunday May 24th to buy any instructional DVD package or any instructional DVD combo package at their current already low prices.

Afterwards–and without any exceptions–the cost of each individual DVD package will increase $100 and each combo DVD package will increase $100 per DVD in the combo (a 2 DVD combo will increase $200, 3 DVDs will increase $300, etc.)

If you don’t see a combo package listed in my online store, email me HERE & I will send you a special link.

I remain excited about teaching you guys to profit patiently.

Sincerely,
Tim

Jammy: I love that you are 15 and are interested in stocking! I was 16 when I started and am now 17. I hope one day, after learning and profiting, that I can create a program to get younger teens interested in the stock market and trading. Good luck to you and definitely encourage your friends! If you live in Pennsylvania, check out PFEW. It is a blast!

Everyone seems to want something for nothing. People, get over it! It's his (Tim) DVD's and he can price them accordingly, as he see's fit.

There are way too many people on this site/thread/blog that should not be trading and it shows in some of the comments I see. (The first comment is a perfect example) I agree with Tim, i could only imagine the emails/hate mail he receives for hos business, as well as personal life. Keep up the good work Tim. Treat this like a business and target your product/services to those individuals/corporations that would seek out your expertise.

It's like contacting Aston Martin. I'm sure Aston Martin gets plenty of hits off their website from browsers and shoppers, alike. But how many people you think actualy contact Aston from their website or give them grief about their product pricing? Only those serious, in doing business, visit Aston Martin and contact a rep regarding their products. The same should go ... in this case.

    It's not personal, people ... It's business!
  • well spec it aint always that easy but yes, i suppose there are things everyone in stocks should no, mostly shorting, support and resistance. im 15 and from your list all i dont have is a trading account..o lol unless you count $400 :), but i'm buying books, candlestick charting was a great book, so was tyim's hedge fund one. i bought pennystocking the original and although pricy to the young newb like me it was well worth it

    fair point

    Honest to the jew god,

why all the fuz about the dvds !? all you need is a small account for trading, an internet connection, the ability to read (was giving in elementary school), some really really basic maths (also see elementary school), knowing what shorting a stock is (free teaching here short = negatif position on a stock, stock = action of a trade it company on the NASDAQ, OTCBB, PINKSHEET, some time AMEX), you also need firefox (navigation for web) and being long on a stock (buying the stock) NEVER RISK MORE THEN 20% of the account on any TRADE !! NEVER !!! CUT your lose at - 1% of the 20%. Also what a break modeling stategy look like. What is a support and a resistance on a pattern of trade.

It's simple but a lot of hard work for research on the stock you put on the watch list.

If you gonna take TIM quote here (mental midgets) cannot understand that the TIM by all means put the dvds to sell for 5k $ each to make sure those morons never in there life time trade or they will lose.

hope i help some one to do research, I mean some of you guyz or girls can manage to get porn for free on the web and cannot do a little search of penny stock jesus jew !!!

    no offense
    best regards
  • karl, u miss the point, noobs will always be around but i don't want the ones who arent willing to work & invest in the longterm...i dont want those guys to like me, let them go somewhere else for someone who promises they can get rich quickly with $50 dvds
  • karl
one more thing, if you want to 'weed' or shake off these noobs who are too cheap, then why not just low the price of the dvds for a few days , whilst making some money the noobs will have bought your dvds and leanred, cos otherwise these noobs will always be around, and raising the price will only mean that they can't get them, meaning they will bitch about the dvds all the time -they will be more of a problem than they are now, people will come into livestock spamming the chatroom with stuff like 'cheaper dvds now you greedy jew'. summary:
raising price-make you less money, noobs will still be here.
low price for a few days:you will make money, noobs will buy and leave and perhaps be transformed.
  • awww geez how can i afford them now :(, o well i guess 15 year olds just aren't suppoed to learn anymore crying face ;(
  • Djsdream
Thank you Tim!!!!!!! The way you have been giving special discounts at random devalued your Dvds. Those of us who own them would like to see the price go up which increases the
    Value..... Thanks Tim!
  • again, if u think $300 is too expensive then u shouldnt be trading
  • karl
'i do have a problem with the fatc that they ask the same damn questions because they dont know how to properly research…proper research is a big part of what makes me successful so i dont want anyone who isnt up to that challenge.'

maybe they would do so if the dvds weren't so expensive
  • if any of u dont like it, feel free to go learn from all those other guys who share their results openly and have tremendous track records & testimonials, oh wait, there arent any...
  • haha growth is starting to slow? kids, if u only knew

i love that u people think this is greed, u mental midgets dont understand the business AT ALL, if i was greedy, the DVDs would be $2k-$5k each and theyd still sell because i prove every day people make that much on some stock or two that fits the pattern...nope, $400/dvd will weed most of the lowers out so i can better focus

and karl, i have nothing against poor people, we all need to star somewhere, i do have a problem with the fatc that they ask the same damn questions because they dont know how to properly research...proper research is a big part of wha makes me successful so i dont want anyone who isnt up to that challenge.

pennystocking might be easy to learn and implement but there are some people who just shouldnt be trading.
  • karl
Tim i can not believe you are doing this, i have bought all of these dvds and hey, who ever said that $300-400 isnt expensive enough? i have been here since the start and i believe this is an act of pure greed, sure there are some people who are noobs and are cheap bu since when is rising the price on the dvds that you say over and over again that these noobs will almost definately need ever goin to help them?
tut, i remember in wall street warriors you say to get out before greed turns you to the dark side, well tim it looks like you're headed there, get your act together son.

And on livestock it was very snobbish and inappropriate your comments on poor people , that they are stupid...etc.Get your head out of that shiny polished ass and listen .
  • ThisIsNotGood
Increasing DVD prices by $100 will bar people with low budget to buying your DVD is a good cause ?! Isn't that counter intuitive to your plan to help our small fishes ? I have to think twice about your honesty. I am really having trouble visualizing you as anything other than a greedy bragging DVD salesman at this point of time.
  • NYNY
I think Tim should just be honest and state that growth is starting to slow as he is running out of new customers to sell to. By raising the price $100 and what ever other prices are being raised, he may have a chance of keeping revenue in the $50 to $80k range.
  • sonid
Its the right thing to do Tim, too many people around in the game who like you said shouldn't be trading but at the same time this business is a win loss business sooooooo welcome!
  • I only wish to price out those who think they can get rich quickly--seems to be a lot of those types in the $200-$300 range.....u guys can think whatever u want, u dont have the massive amounts of data that i have
  • RS
    Tim,

I am long time follower of yours but this move to raise the prices is messed up I know you feel it is the right thing to do to weed out people. I don't see how it is the responsible thing to do to raise prices in the times we are in with the economy and job layoffs. Granted people should not be trading during tough times it gives them hope that there are better times ahead, but not by seeing prices raised.
Just wanted to get that out there and still a fan and supporter.
  • nworkman
    This is pointless.

The dvds already pay for themselves in one trade..Now its just one fairly good trade haha.
  • kondal
Just a question...I know Thinkorswim offering level 2 quotes but for who ...for the people who have big accounts..if so does anybody know any other broker offering level 2 for smalla ccounts...thanks...
  • Mcnasty, I for one am glad someone said something.
I don't think the cost of the DVD is the reason for the following Tim has.
What about just not reading inane questions out loud and then going off on that person? How many good questions get ignored because of the ranting?
  • tmcnasty
    Is that really necessary grinch?

Tim I understand your frustrations, but I doubt this move will do anything to stem the tide of 'poor noobs' annoying you in Livestock chat and elsewhere. In fact, as your training materials become more expensive less people will purchase them. That will cause even more untrained noobs to pester you constantly. Or just cause more of them to seek out illegal downloads.
Punting them from Livestock chat will do little since they can just rejoin w/ a different name.
Anyway...it is your product so do what you feel is right, but I think you're in for a surprise as future noob questions only increase. I for one have yet to get the bill for the two disks I just bought...combine that with trying to fund my account faster due to margin requirements suddenly makes me one buyer who must hesitate before Sunday midnight. After that obviously it's only more difficult financially. You say you want to stop the people who refuse to buy and learn and who are poor, but in reality you also slow down the people who do want to buy and learn as best they can.
If you REALLY want to solve the noob problem there are better ways. For example...you cannot join Livestock until you've purchased at least ONE of your DVD's. Invite only as someone mentioned on Livestock. Even being a Timalert subscriber shouldn't grant you access because you could still be a mouth-breather.
From here...honestly...it does look more like greed because of what I've typed above and the chit-chat about the Timalerts price going up and also charging for your blog?
Combine all that and it seems like a guy who just wants to make more money. Which is actually fine since it's your business...charge what you want. But don't try to kid us or yourself that all of that combined is 'noob defense.'
The only defense from the mouth-breathers among us is a .45 and a shovel!
