Memba 4 days ago when I featured Fannie Mae (NYSE: FNM) and Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE) as perfect technical breakdowns/a Short Selling pattern I looooooove?

Well, since then those two turds have dropped 16% and 33%, respectively.

Forget all the BS media noise, rumors, tips, fundamentals, screwed employees, just all the shitty things/petty human waste products that are a part of every day Wall Street and focus on the charts. Can you guess which financial company is showing the EXACT same pattern?

Yup, good ole Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (LEH)! Good God, I love the smell of failure in the morning!

Disclosure: I have no positions in any of these “companies”, I just enjoy justice being served.

  1. I know you don’t like to play real companies but why didn’t you go for either of those two. It was almost a given that they were going to breakdown?

  2. LOL, now FNM and FRE are down 50% each

  3. Man, not too many people up early on here, think its only Tim, Mike, and I.

  4. i didnt go for either cuz its not pennystocking…gotta stay disciplined, especially with so many people watching….what i can offer is to to tell people what not to do, guys on the TIMalert website were buying these thing yesterday, it old em they were crazy as they could both collapse:

“just checking in, i dont see any other plays other than FNM and FRE and they surely arent pennystocking

  5. Can’t remember who, but thanks UF for the thoughts on AKYI. I agree with your volume/liquidity/trend concerns for a $0.02 penny stock. Nonetheless, volume has really trended upward the past month or so and many are expecting it to explode in the near-term with news of revenue data. The company has moved from development stage to confirmed sales with an ingenious product in a popular market (video gaming). Moreover, company hasn’t been wasting $ on mailers, but rather is using extra funds to acquire treasury stock. Application in process with the SEC to move from the pinks to OTC BB. I’ve made some $ following ideas on this site, just wanted to alert y’all to something that I think has merit, albeit still speculative (I’m not fooling myself). Check out the chart below. Increasing I-hub chatter and now consistently on the daily top-10 list of # trades or transaction volume.

  8. dtpi is an earnings play, no thanks, u’re gonna be right 4-6 times out of 10,

  9. FRE woW!!!!!

  10. Just because there was an earnings report out doesn’t mean it was an earnings play, especially when all you care about is the momentum.

Up premarket, down on open to silly levels (-50% at one point?), obvious price inefficiencies - what more can you ask for?

  11. LOL max: “Just because there was an earnings report out doesn

  12. “FRE, and FNM not penny stocking” true TIM— sure would have got you through 25k easily— look at the chart,

  13. i could also put all 21k on red and possible double to 42k…no, i stay disciplined, got too many people looking at this now to let everyone down

  14. Hey Tim, I appreciate the discipline. I’ve always been a gambler, but when I’ve felt really good about a play I’ve told a few friends. Very rarely do those that I tell otehr people about lose me (or them) any money. I always joke with them that I wish one of them would be my “gatekeeper”, and only allow me to trade in my account those stocks taht I am comfortabel telling friends/family to get into. Essentially, signing up for Covestor does that for me, as now that others can see my trades, I am going to remain much more disciplined. I was thinking of buy FRE at the open, and would have made a bunch of money, but it would have been pure luck, not from knowing anything special, and so it would have been a hollow victory.

  15. Anyone watching CNBC today regarding LEH.

I think it went something on the lines of “prosecute the manipulators, rumor starters, and short sellers.”

“Short Sellers tend to fall on their own knife” or something like that lol. Love it.

    Amz out.
