TIM 2nd Quarter Review: I Suck But Most Everyone Else In This Joke Of An Industry Sucks Worse
After only a decent April (see monthly review HERE) and a heartbreaking (wasted opportunities galore) May (see monthly review HERE), my 14% June return (see monthly overview HERE) basically made my 16.6% quarter, my trading account surging from just over $17k to just over $20k, allowing me to continue to rip on this joke of an industry since even with all my mistakes I’m still doing better than 99% of the people out there, most of whom perform slightly worse than the major indexes (90% of traders lose $, 70% of fund managers fail to beat the S&P 500 cuz they’re schmucks!):
Below are all my trades and best/most important posts from the quarter that was:

Anyone that tracks me on Covestor knows I’m a one-trick pony with APWR — it is currently on its way up in a violent way. I’d appreciate any insights into price/volume and/or effects on shorts for tomorrow’s price action.

11:25 nickt: how many are you looking for there?
11:27 dingo907: for PDT I mean how day trades I have available
11:27 dingo907: how many day trades
11:33 dingo907: nick?
11:33 dingo907: wondering how many daytrades I have left
11:39 nickt: You are a canadian account so there is not a day trading restriction
WE ARE FREE FROM OSAMA BIN SEC !!!!
BRING ON THE CHAMPAGNE !!!
also reconfirmed after. TOS cdn accounts clear in Canada, that why they are not binded, while IB clears in the US.
So I guess I’ll catch out my IB account and move all my funds to TOS now.
I’m loving it

Tim, been checking out your site lately. Its been a great help! I just wanted to know how I could get my hands on the software you use in the second episode of the first season of Wall Street Warriors. You’re shown using it right as the market opens and you can see all the trades and charts on your screen. Is it free? Did you purchase it?
Thanks

I was a pussy like Tim and sold my 500 shares at $11… looking forward to the next call though. Holding some VVUS and ALTH for the gap up tomorrow… both broke through at least 1 year resistance (5 year resistance for VVUS) today and should show up on a lot of scans tonight…

Hey bud,
honestly, how do u make a living trading a USD 20k account producing those numbers?
38timothysykes
July 9th, 2008 at 8:09 am
Jerry, do some research, I trade this small account not because its all the $ i have but cuz i wanted to go back to my roots to show people with similarly sized accounts EXACTLY how to build the up to make this game more understandable to everyone. raking in just over 30k/month now in book, dvd, advertising and subscription sales and its growing/nearly doubling each month…gotta love this joke of an industry for forgetting to teach the little guys!
