In PennyStocking & TIM You Must Trust: Receive 6% Overnight Interest At The Bare Minimum, 15-25% If You’re Not Jewish

Posted by timothysykes on Wed 18th of Jun, 2008 12:19:29 PM

As I emailed TIMalert subscribers in near real-time, I sold my HYHY position near the market open at $2.37 for a solid, if not extraordinary, 6% overnight gain of about $265, putting TIM up 8% on the month and right back to my old highs, up 55% since November 2007.

You see for all my crazy—some say—theories, but this time proven right…yet again…suckas, I stink at timing my trades. (As I think I proved beyond a shadow of doubt with my woeful but carefully controlled losses in May) Scared by my own openness (probly best not to call a company you’re long a fraud) in last night’s post and another scathing overnight article on The Fool (the hypocrites wouldn’t publish a nice review of my book An American Hedge Fund by one of their writers cuz it deals too much with Penny Stocks —man, I’m telling you Back of the Bus-type discrimination makes me sick) entitled “Potential Scam Alert”, I wasn’t sure how much longer this rally would last.

Good thing nobody really reads/listens to the Fool or to me—well, at least those who buy based on mailers (god love ‘em!). Now 15% higher on the day, meaning $500+ in missed profits for me in the last 2 hours—and climbing—it’s beginning to look as though my random ass $3 target might be dead on. I don’t know and I don’t care—all I wanted was a morning gap up (got it) and spike/short squeeze (got it, but didn’t stick around long enough to benefit) because it was a perfect high volume breakout aka the only pattern I’m willing to buy cuz it’s pretty damn predictable.

The good news for you guys is you don’t need to suffer through my timing issues, check out this guy’s comment that you know I’m gonna put in the testimonials section (anybody else profit, let’s hear!):

just made $300 on HYHY thanks to TIMalerts!!! when i first read tims blog on HYHY i put a order in for 2000 shares, having trust in Tim. The next morning i cancelled the order! i dont know why! so after debating to buy 2000 shares i steped up to the plate and bought 2000 shares at $2.36. becoming scared after seeing this fraud move i had the balls to stay and eventually sold at $2.50. This gave me a profit of about $290.. THANKS TIM AND HIS AWESOME TIMalerts !!!!

Yup, we know this to be the case, I have many good ideas—lately STXX, PTEK, HYHY and GRO on all of which I profited but exited waaaaay too early aka most newsletters you gotta be quick, with mine the slower you are, the better—thank God for this blogging biz model, now at least these ideas of mine aren’t wasted on such a gutless Jew any longer aka I trade as if I had a laptop back in ancient times while building the pyramids, afraid a big chunk was gonna topple over and knock me out. (I don’t even know if that analogy makes any sense, I’m just getting more and more disgusted as I write this since HYHY keeps going higher!)

    good call on HYHY Tim….

  2. I got in an order pre-open and got the transaction complete at around 2.38 and sold later at 2.55. My fund is small so I only bought 500 shares.

I am short on SURG right now. Contemplating letting it go to the close so I can save my last PDT trade for Thursday or Friday. I know its kind of a scalp but I liked the verticle drop it was showing at the time.

  3. There goes PINN. 3.09 now. Once 3.10 to 3.25 is broken we should see 3.50 quickly. Looking to unload at 3.50+. Could see $4 short term.

  4. I’m still in HYHY from this morning right after the open. Up 8.45% right now.

  5. nice gt4!

  6. TIM,

Your first alert only up 17% with half the trading day left to go. Users will be wanting their money back. haha

Gonna be scary when you’re over 25K and can go on full assault status.

  7. TGC should run if it breaks 1.65 52wk high. I’m long @1.51. GST looks like it’s trying to break out of Bull Flag…no position

  8. SINO should test 10 again before becoming a sub $5 stock for good.

APWR needs to consolidate at 25 before going back up. APWR has definitely peaked.

    Both fantastic shorts.

Bought half the POT puts back that I sold for 1.40. Looking for hard sell off Thursday and FRI for the AG’s.

    Buy NOG and ROYL

    Action to Take:

    * Hold all positions.
    * Buy Northern Oil & Gas (NOG) up to $16.
    * Buy Royale Energy (ROYL) up to $10.25.

So far so good. Most of our Bakken Challenge trades and trades opened prior to the Challenge are skyrocketing. While we’ll look to take some gains off the table shortly, we wanted to add two new positions to the portfolio, including Northern Oil & Gas (NOG) and Royale Energy (ROYL).

NOG recently entered into an agreement to buy certain oil and gas leases covering about 24,000 net acres in North Dakota. The company now holds about 60,000 net acres, as part of the Bakken trend. Once these guys drill and find something significant, the stock is off to the races. Given the success of other drills in close proximity to NOG assets, successful drilling shouldn’t be a problem, in our opinion.

As for Royale Energy (ROYL), it’s involved with natural gas, and should continue riding the nat gas boom. Natural gas prices are rising just as fast as oil, hitting $13, and could be subjected to the same supply and demand issues that drove crude oil well above $130 a barrel.

That’s as liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments to the U.S. slow, and as companies like Cheniere and other companies drop plans to build more terminals. Global natural gas demand has grown about 2.6% a year over the last 10 years. But in Asia, the Mid East and in Africa, demand has been more like 7% over the same time frame. And demand growth will only rocket further refinery and power growth in the developing world.

We’re also seeing a lot of action in energy names because of a push for domestic drilling.

  11. gas certainly seems the way to go KOG, NOG, TGC, ROYL

  12. Tony - also long TGC - it’s getting close to breaking out now - sometimes the 2nd time’s a charm

  13. I hate the lack of transparency on these amex stocks

  14. yah thats wy i’ve held off of TGC…so far, i dont like buying in the middle of the day either

  15. I think the upside is worth it

  16. I jumped in HYHY this morning at $2.44 and still holding. If the price continues climbing through the close, should I hold it over night for another potential gap-up? Any thoughts…

  17. Anyone having problems with TOS…site is acting slow today!

  18. GLCC.PK The POS I said yesterday could hit .03 yesterday actually hit .04. A doubler, currently up 75%.

On the downside, the KAZ pick that had so much promise is down 15%. After doing some DD afterhours I found out why this stock didn’t go up. They have some serious lawsuits filed.

  19. ImSmith, are u still holding, I will hold until all picks RIP

No comments, anyone on my picks?

  20. No problems with TOS here. It has been acting normal for me.

ICPW.ob just on cnbc, at some point a good short

  22. OT- You think you had a bad year.

MGM majority shareholder owner Kirk Kirkorian is down $9 billion in paper in the last 7 months.

That’s nothing next to his neighbor Sheldon Adelson who is down about $20 billion in the last 7 months.

I’m sending out the collection jar. Rumor is both have purchased TIM’s DVD and book.

  23. Is there a way to format these posts for printing just the post from Tim. I am having trouble finding the FAQ.

  24. fresh break out! TGC

Tim has been emailing ALERT Subscribers before he even comments here about potential plays during the day as well so it is not just a premarket list and when he gets in and out of stocks, which he is doing as well but he is also giving us his thoughts on stocks like the oil stocks mentioned here during market hours.

Alerts is a good value to any of you that are trying to constantly refresh comments to see what Tim is doing. I keep my email open and I can see the incoming mail within seconds of Tim sending it out and it pops right up for me.
