Manipulation Monday: 12 Stocks That I Wish Were More Greatly Manipulated :(

Tags: Breakouts, Hot Stocks, Patience, Patterns To Buy, Potential Plays, Supernovas

Should I have stayed short KYUS over the weekend? I left because there might be trouble (weekend mailers?), but if I stayed it would be double (me a part of the potential short squeeze)…nah good decision to take profits…got my shares reserved to get back in today if it starts fadin’…lately spam stocks haven’t been collapsing like they should and I don’t have the capital to stick around…no I don’t, I’m just a no-class beat down fool and I will always be that way, I might as well enjoy my small gains and teach you readers to play!

UPDATE:
Damn I know these shady companies right, fearful of a large drop in price, they had a fluffy PR pre-market this morning, seriously, this game is that corrupt

XRM and ENT have both spiked quickly, but both had solid earnings reports so don’t be so quick to short them as they’ll probly only fade, not collapse like those that spike due to hype and paid-for promotion…and in the meantime they’ll squeeze naïve short sellers who don’t know the difference…oh yes not all chart patterns are not created equally, welcome to why PennyStocking is different from all other market niches, it’s corruption baby, when there’s no corruption, there’s less reversibility

CPSL had a bigtime earnings spike, with volume of 20mil shares…last time this happened was last September when it spiked from $4 to $12…those with balls bough late Friday for probable Monday morning gap, let’s see how far this one goes, remember patterns evolve and other than one quick dip last spike, it stayed up in the clouds for over a month…

MMGW is an illiquid sucker that after some nice low volume/hard to take advantage of for big profits from the short side consolidation is right back to its old highs…can it breakout?

With PDO, you just gotta let it be, let it be, this one’s good for scalping only, so let it be. Let it be, let it be, oh let it be, this one’s good for scalping only, let be.

With MXC, you just gotta let it be, let it be, this one’s good for scalping only, so let it be. Let it be, let it be, oh let it be, this one’s good for scalping only, let be.

Neither of these stocks are gonna collapse in a heartbeat, for similar Supernova charts, scroll down HERE and take a look at IPIX…that went to $28 and it was based on hype, not commodity prices…most of you weren’t around back for the Y2K plays that went from like $5 to $90 within a few weeks, not probable here but these are two illiquid bastards, so don’t be too aggressive

LBAS is a good old manipulated fraud…remember their blatantly manipulated chart a while back? It’s baaaaaaaack! Like fellow spammers HYBR and MXFD, its’ going higher, squeezing the shorts who bet on long-term frauds…see why I get out so quickly?

CDY is one where you just sit back and look at its pretty chart…it’ll be a short eventually, but not today

Despite being in totally different fields, FPP is uhhh the same as CDY?!?!? Am I right or am I right? Or am I right?

RCH is a play on which I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again—sure they’re sketchy as all hell, but you don’t short just for sketchy-sake…those who do get squeezed…good news is there a great volume fade and sideways price action s Monday could be the dip day

KUN is another sketchy AMEX play that did dip/go negative on its third up day—probly cuz it ain’t got no news to support itself…normally I’d short into the close on the first down day, but I don’t like how well it rebounded off its morning lows, the fact that it’s an AMEX play and I was a bit concerned with my buying power…we’ll see if the pattern holds true and my worrying is all for nothing, gotta take out $4.40 which is a long way to go

Well I’m covering my KYUS short after that PR release. I’ll end up not getting any profit like the rest of you guys because of that little bounce at the end Friday. Just a small $5 loss.

I’m out any plays today. No buying power. Nothing looks really ideal anyway.

i wouldnt be so quick to write KYUS off, it could spike, but it could also just ignore this fluff release and tank nicely too

    Tim,

MY COMPLIMENTS - You are doing a wonderful public service by sharing your valuable knowledge with us little people. You are definitely an inspiration! Your parents and family must be very proud of you. When you talked about “sketchy characters getting extremely wealthy while amateurs are getting the shaft”, I knew just whose side your heart was really working for.

MY QUESTION - Over the long term (and more directly related to this topic), do you ever feel any concerns that shorting microcap pump and dumps will ever become a fading opportunity as your website and knowledge becomes more widespread amongst the investing and trading community? In other words, won’t the crooked PR sharpies eventually come up with effective countermeasures to your dissemination of information so that this would be a less profitable angle someday?
I know Wall Street is a mind-bogglingly huge place in terms of wealth, but I would think this potential problem would be more of an issue when dealing almost exclusively in tiny stocks. Any thought on this? Thanks Tim!

Sold 3000 RCH @ 11.10/Share for $770 profit. Thanks for the tip on Friday tim. Hopefully Davey appreciates the timeliness of the post. As I’m writing this, I wish I would have waited, but I wanted to get my $500+ profit and get out.

lol, MXC squeezing the life out of early shorts

    May 19th, 2008 at 9:42 am

Well because of that PR release I got scared out of my KYUS position 1st thing this morning for a very small $10 loss (after commissions). And now it’s dropped about 10 cents :(

    May 19th, 2008 at 9:43 am

    hey great job jmoates

    May 19th, 2008 at 9:44 am

This is the second time now I’ve gotten scared out of a winning position. First time was with NNVC…if I held my short for a few more days I would’ve had a very nice profit. And now KYUS, down to $2.27 as I write this :(

    May 19th, 2008 at 9:51 am

Jmotes I was right wtih you on RCH. Out of my long at 11.10. I only had like 1k invested in it. But I think I made a decent % gain.

    Look at MXC go!!!

  21. 21Dan-O

    May 19th, 2008 at 9:51 am

Tim, did you reserve shares of PDO?

  22. 22Ryan

    May 19th, 2008 at 9:55 am

Dan-O, why in the world are you being soooo impatient? Who on earth want to short MXC or PDO right now? Just wait, be patient! How many times Tim mentioned here not to short PDO or MXC at this time??

  23. 23JMoates77

    May 19th, 2008 at 9:57 am

TDLP is being pumped by Lebed. Not enough yet to be a good short, but may be a decent long for a few weeks.

    MXC..is on fire.

    May 19th, 2008 at 10:05 am

Ryan, last time Tim said not to short PDO he reserved shares for an afternoon fade.

I’m not impatient, I’ve passed on two seperate spikes on PDO.

    FPP Bottle Rocket up + $1 / +32%

FPP is NOT a POS; its profitable, earnings are UP

small 1.54 million float with 43% held by insiders

    only 7k 0r .10% (a tenth of a tenth) % short last month,

so breakout is a mystery, barring more news.

    Tim,

I can’t short yet, because I don’t have a margin account. Since your site is primarily about shorting, I need to find another site that helps teach how to find stocks to go long on. I will keep reading this one, as shorting is my ultimate goal.

I’ve read some books, but they talk about 6-12 months before you see 15-30% return on a trade. I want to see that in 3 days or less.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

timevalue, thanks for the compliments, yes i’m sure my site will impact patterns, but as u can see form today’s action, it’s actually sometimes better to go long…so as long as i teach people about the variables, hopefully many of them will bat from both sides of the plate

jj http://www.thetechnicaltrader.net is good at going long these turds

yngvai thats the exact right way to look at it, i got so excited by todays absurd morning spikage, i went for the quick reversal plays, infinitely more difficult…I’m down $400sh and now i have no more trades for today…stupid stupid stupid
