Good Speech, Bad Pizza
You now when you wake up to 30+ Facebook friend requests from Rutgers students when you spoke to only about 40 people the night before and you’re getting messages like: “hey man. thanks for coming to RU! you bring a whole enthusiasm and honest knowledge to trading that ive never seen before”, you did something right. God, I love speaking—people and groups out there: book me, seriously—you won’t regret it, I just go crazy and let it all out. Think my book + swearing. Only bad part is the group gave me some pizza that tasted pretty good, but now it’s made me pretty sick.
TIM Lesson: Never trust pizza from the Rutgers Student Center
Today, the overall market might’ve surged, but the smallcap momentum plays couldn’t hold their early gains. In the morning, (COIN) pulled its typical high $9s to mid-$10s back to high $9s pattern (will it ever stick?). (IDMI) and (NYNY) both coulda woulda shoulda been great 15% low priced gap up plays—I don’t like buying into weakness—but both faded into oblivion afterwards. Higher priced momo names like (CHNR), (APWR) and (YTEC) hardly put up a fight with (APWR) basically double topping around $19ish even after two new contracts and being supremely hyped on TheLion.com. (ORCT) reported their typical sub-standard earnings—making me look smart for avoiding that crap.
I’m done for, I gotta go puke. Again. This sucks.

Tim,
TGAL, up 100% in past week or so. Volume fading, nearing resistance. I know they beat earnings and finally made a couple bucks.. short on weakness or avoid?

Hey Be-the-ball just thought I’d offer my opinion, and yeah that looks like it could be a good short play and even if it doesnt work out just put ur stop maybe 10 or 15 cents above that resistance point for a small loss, but i would wait till at least the first down day, also it does look like volume is drying up and momentum is slowing so good luck =)

i don’t care if its up 300%–its an earnings mover–the one penny stoc to ever make it–BOOM–was an earnings mover. that said, TGAL is also uptrending gradually, not spiking. looks very rational

Tim - how much of a gap up are you expecting tomorrow for CTIB? What are the signs that show a gap up?

horrible close on CTIB, better signs of gap up for SWHC. just picked the wrong horse.

Well POT closed at $149.28 up $5.20 but did hit a new 52 week high of $154.63 at around 1030am. I’m not a daytrader and hold only200 shares in my roth IRA at $131. Just thought I would add this to this board for informational purposes as the theme seems to be lower priced momentum stocks. I plan to add on dips if we get any dips. MOS had a great day too although weak at the close.

Hey Tim, Coin has a serious pattern- It’s been doing the same thing for about 3 weeks now…..It mostly open high in the a.m and then fade in the afternoon, It seems like it can not break beyond 10ish……. I usually buy if it closes at a low- wait for the morning spike and sell… It hasn’t failed me yet….

i’m tempted to trade COIN too but thhats a dangerous pattern. never ever short at the to–the one time it doesnt, it’ll break out huge.

Tim,
what would you suggest for someone who has a lot going on during the day and can’t be at a computer always (although I do have the iphone). Can you have success by putting in a lot of your orders when the markets are closed so that when they open up you don’t have to put them in then?

Prioritize, Focus on open and close, never put in order when markets are closed.
