TIM $16,140, Up $134 I didn’t expect any trades today, but when COIN appeared in Barrons recommended by some “guru”, PennyStocking was on (crap company + fluff news + predictable chart pattern = my kind of play)! If you’ve read this blog over the past few weeks, you know this stock and I don’t get along at all—I’ve had nothing but losses (which I cut quickly) trying to pick its ultimate top. TIM $14,301 (up $161 on the day) Short 100 Shares Solar Fun (Nasdaq: SOLF) at $24.70 This morning, I surprisingly awoke before the market opened, mainly because the University of Arizona was not the party school I expected it to be—at least not during finals week. Oh well, college parties don’t compare to fun stocks like these anyway:

The Disciplined Investor has a great 30 minute-ish podcast with yours truly, mainly about the lack of transparency in the finance industry. The site is run by a financial planner, Andrew Horowitz, who has also just released a new book by the same name. I’m only about halfway through =pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1196610420&sr=1-1″>The Disciplined Investor (along with nearly a dozen other books, including some particularly good ones like Grace Cheng’s Forex book and a really, really, really long one), but I’ll be adding it to my library of recommended books since it gives a great overview of all the financial planning basics and is unusually understandable.
