Business and especially finance and trading is VERY difficult to accurately portray on camera.
You get half-assed attempts like this
But overtired from a long week of work and travel, sitting in sleepytown New Hampshire for this trader’s wedding, I had a hugely enjoyable night watching the new Richard Gere thriller “Arbitrage”.
It’s not hugely educational/light-hearted like my TV show “Wall Street Warriors”, which you can watch all the episodes of here and it’s not as truly great as the original “Wall Street” (nor is it as bad as Wall Street’s pathetic sequel or the hugely boring/overly praised “Margin Call”), it’s just a solid, well executed and well acted, cold-hearted business/financial thriller.
Kinda like this year’s “The Social Network” or more like “Changing Lanes” although since it involves high finance, it won’t be very popular.
Check out the trailer below and definitely spend a few hours on this movie.
