I asked all my speakers 3 questions, and Michael is the only one to have gotten back to me so far despite being one of the richest, most successful and busiest of them all which says a lot about him and his answers are short but very to the point and useful:
1. What is the one thing you’ve done that you’re most proud of?
Most proud of being an entrepreneur. I was not “centrally planned” by a State.
2. What’s the best lesson/s you’ve learned through your business/stock market experiences?
An early one from an early mentor (paraphrasing): “Everyone gets what they want from life and markets.” That means if you are out of shape and broke–look in the mirror.
3. What is the single greatest opportunity right now for people to profit from?
Single greatest opportunity is to put oneself in position to win from “asymmetric bets” or situations where you can risk little to make a lot with favorable odds. In my mind that is best practiced and achieved through trend following trading. Said another way? When markets make the next random jump, the next unexpected leap, are you prepared to profit from the outlier swan in a big way?
