1. Read SEC Filings DVD:
A Fantastic Conflict in Styles
To date this is probably my favorite Tim Sykes DVD. Not because the others aren’t very good on their own, but because this DVD gets into an area that day traders generally don’t talk about. Reading SEC filings was always a mystery to me, and this helped clear a lot of that fog, and allowed me to learn more on my own. Michael Goode’s section is great in it’s own right. He goes through how he reads and SEC filing, and evaluates the company based on it’s fundamentals. Tim’s Section is equally as educational as he does a similar presentation that is different enough from Michael Goode’s section that you get a good feel for how 2 different successful traders can interpret the same type of information slightly differently, yet still be successful.
I was a little hesitant to spend the extra money to upgrade my TIMalerts subscription, but after a little over a month I am sold. The video watchlists are great. They give you one or two, or possibly no stocks worth watching for the day. If you are busy and have a job that requires you to be away from a computer this makes things a lot easier than trying to keep up with a list of 10-20 stocks. The video lessons (only 2 so far) have been educational and informative. The only flaw with this service is that you may learn everything you need to know, and not need it anymore.
Good beginning look at Level II
This is a DVD that describes Level 2, and how Tim Sykes uses it to make trades. The information in it is fairly basic, but if you have no clue what level 2 is, how to use it, how it works, or how it can be manipulated, then you will get a decent amount of good information from this DVD.
The DVD where it all seems to finally make sense…
I’m basically in agreement with the majority of reviews. In between slamming red bulls and getting texts from the girlfriend, TS analyzes chart patterns and “drops the knowledge” on set-ups/trading/etc…very enlightening.
As a newbie I definitely feel much more ready to play this game with some degree of confidence. I’m still a long way from executing my first trade but I’m much better informed and much more in sync with how Tim picks his plays than I was before watching…

I’m a broke a$# high school student. I’m a lazy, selfish, greedy stock trader. However, thanks to Tim I’ve made so much money. When I signed up my account I had $750 in it. This month i’ve made over $779 off of two terrific trades (haven’t covered yet). My account now stands close to $4,000. Good god Tim is terrific. I can remember 2 and a half years ago when tim first started LiveStock I would bother him with annoying questions like “What do you think of (insert stock name that isn’t moving but has a ton of fluffy presses and is a pinksheet)” and “how much money can i make with a $500 stock account” “is there any way to make a bunch of money fasts in stocks” Instead of banning me from the chat or publicly humiliating me, Tim took the time to answers my questions.
If you sing up for TIMalerts you sign up for so much more than just alerts. You sign up for tim’s funny commentary and quirky antics which made him famous on WSW. You sign up for Tim’s chatroom which has multiple penny stock traders who have earned a six figure incomes through trading such as Reaper and Darth. You sign up for a comment section to ask Tim and other traders direct questions. You sign up for a community.
