Just closed up a monster gain in AENY to make for a great new year. I had AENY on the watchlist for a while now, and began shorting on Monday — the day before the TIMalert. I ended up with a cost basis of around $5.15 on 20K shares. There were plenty of shares at TOS and some at IB — even through Tuesday morning right up to the morning alert when AENY was at $4.70.

Anyways, I held through the bumps on Tuesday and Wednesday, waiting for the big support at 3.50 today. I count myself blessed for a good entry point, and a great close — almost all out this morning around 3.50 – 3.68. Still have a pretty small 2K position knowing that 95% of P&Ds from the watchlist die another 25%+ in a few months (although I may cover even that if it goes green convincingly today).

Huge thanks to Tim and all the hard work he puts into his strategy and his watchlists. Now I’m off to let my wife know about it — maybe even eat somewhere nice tonight. And since we’re about to have our first kid, this is a nice chunk of change to go towards the crazy expenses of procreation.
