Sonic Solutions (SNIC) was a nice quick breakout above 10 this morning from 10 to 10.40 in about 5 minutes…not a TIMalerts effect, this is how breakouts work…gotta be quick sometimes…still a potential buy, but that easy predictable 50 cent/share pop due to short sellers’ stop losses has come and gone…learn from my DVDs, this is the EXACT pattern I’m always talking about buying…any alerts would’ve been too late…yup, you’re gonna have to learn to maximize your profit potential.
Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SOMX) dropped 60% in one day on negative drug news…no play for me, but just look at that steadily uptrending chart before this massive drop and realize it’s NEVER safe to buy a biotech penny stock….barring what happened early in 2009, the vast majority of these scumbags fail.
Clear-Lite Holdings Inc. (CLRH) dropped 20%+ to the low $1s, making this pump & dump a perfect double top at $2…same promoters are behind NXT Nutritionals Holdings (NXTH) which also has a doublt-top looking chart…potential short on both, especially NXTH
ValueVision Media Inc. (VVTV) at 4.08 is just a few cents/share off its 4.15 year highs, perfect 4 month consolidating between 3 and 4..bigtime potential buy and breakout, but this is a real company so any breakout would probly take several days…lots of overhead resistance from years past.
La-Z-Boy Incorporated (LZB) is another play threatening to breakout above a key level of $10….another slow burner real company, if it does breakout or fakeout breakout, target is probly only 10.50-11 within a few days although it could surprise people and pull a Revlon Inc. (REV)
WHX Corp. (WXCO) had its 4th up day in a row from 1.25 to 2.25, volume finally fading…resistance at 2.50ish so if I can short into a big spike, it’ll be good for a predictable 25-50 cents/share, but it’s tough to squeeze a short in on this pattern.
Infinity Energy Resources Inc. (IFNY) I covered early this morning because this illiquid stock wasn’t breaking down the way I wanted it to….upcoming conference call on December 10th to discuss their potential 3 billion barrels of oil…potential buy now if it can get some volume (I won’t short or be long during the conference call, but there might be a surge going into it)
BioFuel Energy Corp. (BIOF) didn’t break down at the market open and it squeezed shorts bigtime…I thought I was out safe and sound, but forgot about 7,000 shares short in another account…classic newbie mistake, very sad, but it happens…lost $1,600ish…for those who don’t like to short sell, my buy to cover turned out to be a great buy signal for a 20% gain over a few hours…works both ways, PennyStocking Part Deux DVD students know failed morning panics can easily turn into morning spikes, learnnnn to adapt and even flip positions from long to short or short to long if key resistance/support levels hold
