what a total beginner mistake…totally forgot about the other 7,000 shares of BIOF I had at Thinkorswim, i only covered the 3000 I had at IB…covered the other 7000 at 3.12ish…$1,500ish mistake, it happens to everyone, just a mental slip up, grrrrr…only good news is I got out of my remainder position at a good price

    BULL: I dunno that, my crystal ball is also cloudy, lol … but look at the volumes and prices before and after 9.40 AM.
    BIOF is now up 14.78%, so that might bring other traders attention that might be betting for an uptrend continuation, we are not alone in the stock market.

    We NEED fraudsters the thrive. We need gullible people buying into hyped up stocks. Our job would be some much more difficult otherwise.

    I shorted 1000 BIOF @ $3.51. I’ll double up if it goes over the $3.60 high.
    I don’t expect to get to the original $2.50, any bounce off the ceiling around $3 wouldn’t hurt.

    Bearnine — BIOF had the exact same kind of morning spike on Friday morning. It wasn’t just Tim and his subscribers that caused the spike.

    Trying to remember TS strategy…is it wiser to wait for green/red? IOW, wait until it breaks below this morning’s low of 4.08? Or better to wait for it to go below previous day close?

    I’ve got 3000 shares short of BIOF at 3.25 and I lost my internet connection until just now at the office. I’m going fucking nuts here. What do you think Tim cover now for the loss or hold out? I got in Friday prior to your notice.

    BTW I’m going to buy a wireless card back up today, now I know.

    Kerry this is just what I think, I’m not an expert or anything:
    On slow moving low volume stocks I find shorting near the top to work better than waiting for a breakdown. I use Tim’s strategy on wild stocks like NLST where you can’t be so aggressive. In my experience, I have found that Tim’s strategy works best when there are a lot of bagholders underwater.

    I agree with Reaper that is was not just tim’s alert that made this stock squeeze. I was short thursday going into friday and I covered for small gain, but the stock spiked then. Also This stock is down 30% from it’s highs and was not able to crack 3 convincingly. I was actually surprised tim shorted it friday. I also told everyone that this stock was more of a buy than a short on friday after he shorted.

    whats interesting is ive been doing the same thing as terran… the breakdown strat is fine but im impatient… i find the highs and sell short .. obviously not always correct but its worked out for some sick profits more often… shorted BIOF at 3.64 covered at 3.30… +190… only part that sucks is my account isnt 25k so I have to be aware of how many per trades for the week… can wait to hit 25k..

    I have a question… on TOS… is the only way to make a short sell order by asking a representative? I downloaded their TOS software and cant find where to sell short… if im missing it im a dumbass..

    I know this is BS, but have you seen such a “dual listing”, and does it in any way protect the share price from shorts?

    curtly — dual listings happen from time to time, even in penny stocks. Often they are in Germany. The stocks always tank eventually.
