A few months ago, my better half/girlfriend Daleela got involved with the charity Faces Of Kibera which is
“…a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping orphans in Kibera, Kenya- Africa’s largest slum . Approximately 1 million people live in 1square mile. 1 out of every 3 children is an orphan and 1 out of every 6 is HIV positive. Our goal is to create and support a community-based facility outside Kibera. Funds raised will be spent on housing, food, psychological and medical care. We want to make a safe place the children can call their home, a family they can depend on”
…and they are holding a massive auction right now on Ebay with only a day and a half left to bid on lots of stuff like “4 VERY SPECIAL 50 yard line seats in stands behind Giants bench for the Giants VS Carolina at Giants Stadium on December 27th at 1 PM. PLUS 4 Pre Game Field Passes and Parking Pass!!!” and lots of other cool stuff, mostly Giants related (the charity is run by the Giants’ owners family).
But the coolest item up for auction is to have dinner with the one, the only Cody Willard & visit him at the Waldorf Astoria while he films his TV show. Cody is not only a great guy and a friend of mine, he’s also a former hedge fund manager and one of the few intelligent financial commentators out there.
