The Bernie Madoff Auction: What I Was Gonna Bid On Until Someone Else Paid $3,000+ [PICTURE]

Over the past few days, I’ve been preparing to bid on the below item in the Bernie Madoff auction:

After all, my publishing company is called BullShip Press, LLC (seriously, look it up!) and what better than a Bernie Madoff collectible would help inspire me to continue cutting through all the financial BS in the world. Besides its estimate value was only $140-$160…I can afford that!

So for the past two days I’ve been filling out all sorts of paperwork and guarantees and wiring a refundable $1,000 to the auctioneers to prepare for today’s auction…I just logged into the online bidding and even though the auction is only on lot #55 and my collectible of choice is lot #346, I see the high bid for this item is sitting at $3,100.

Waaaay too rich for my blood, especially when there are so many better ways to spend $3k.

As I watch several other lots be sold for ridiculous prices, I can’t help but think this auction is gonna be a huge success…even these stupid boogie boards have a high bid of $650 already:
