Netlist, Inc. (NLST) is still my #1 potential short and no I don’t get angry for not riding this thing up…only 1 in 100 pumps last this long, 99 out 100 come down…guess which offers better odds? There are firms with shares to short, so we’ll just have to wait and see about tomorrow, but anybody who has my DVDs knows the pattern to look for, the fading volume, crack of sideways price action…could still be up another day or two..ideally it wears itself out, but the conference where they’re debuting their “revolutionary” technology starts tomorrow and I’m guessing the crowd will be disappointed considering this stock’s runup so far….potential short
GC CHINA TURBINE CORP (GCHT) and Global Health Ventures Inc. (GHLV) are two pump and dumps that have looked to double top…can never be sure when there are paid promoters in the mix, but both of the dropped like the rats that they are in a strong market
Digimarc Corporation (DMRC) announced late tonight they sued Shazam for patent infringement over their popular product that identifies songs heard nearby…tough case to win, but Shazam has 50 million users, up from 35 million in February and has bigtime venture capital backers so it’s a hot company…DMRC could get a boost, potential buy although it’s very speculative
Americas Energy Company (AENY) is the new symbol for TRET and is almost certainly a fraud, late SEC filings, auditor not up to Canadian standards, cease trade order in Canada (like the probable fraud GHLV), but it broke out to new highs and I considered buying it today as its just a $45 million company and most frauds don’t go bust until they reach $100-$200 million…this pump and dump even consolidated in the high 1s so no thanks to shorting anytime soon, potential buy, short only if it really spikes a ton
Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. (OPTT) was hanging tough in the high 9s all day, looking like it could break its curse, but even in a strong market, it broke down last day to finish in the low 9s, susceptible to breaking below 9 and taking all the momentum out of it….truly pathetic stock, potential short on any big spikes
Imaging3, Inc. (IMGG) spiked a bit more, but faded all afternoon…this is a definite potential short, remember the company 100 million shares at .025 cents/share, now at 1.65, can you say pump and dump? Potential short.
OverStock.com Inc. (OSTK) fired their auditor tonight and the CEO Patrick Byrne, who has railed against short selling for years now (alleging a massive conspiracy) also quotes Friedrich Nietzsche in the PR…this guy is a scumbag, a dangerous one at that, and now his shareholders are gonna pay the price, potential short, as firing your auditor over a dispute is not a sign of a healthy company…considering his attitude towards the honorable art of short selling, I hope his stock drops 50%+ as it would be well deserved, then he’d rail how it’s unfair that stocks can drop so quickly, LOL…the bastard even says in the PR he wants to concentrate on their busy season…sorry, that’s not the way the world works…reminds me of the scene in “A Few Good Men” where Jack Nicholson thinks he can go back to his base…nope, he’s guilty!
Nanometrics Incorporated (NANO) just keeps going too, now up to 12.64, pretty wild ride, helping in no small part by overall stock market stength…this is fast becoming a potential short…I don’t care how good business is, this is not that great a company and the runup is getting extended…would love to short into one or two more days of spiking if it can rollover in the afternoon.
Sonic Solutions (SNIC) just keeps going, now up to 10 after I initially spotted the breakout and interesting story at 6…guilty for missing it? YES Will it happen again? YES I don’t claim to be perfect, but I do know the odds better than most, this one is just gonna have to be a great lesson, I am not chasing it up here nor will I short into such story-based strength
Viking Systems, Inc. (VKNG) opened up big at $1/share, but faded pretty quickly, actually some nice consolidation into the mid 70 cents/share region, this is an inevitable potential short later on, but only when the volume fades and when the chart pattern doesn’t look so strong, give it a few days
Clear-Lite Holdings Inc (CLRH) and Power Oil & Gas Inc. (PWOIF) both started tanking today…CLRH dropped 30% in a matter of hours…pump and dumps dumping…wait til you see my research blog post on CLRH, looks like I found a stock promoter who likes pumping via Seeking Alpha and Motley Fool and those 2 publications are too incompetent to see it! Potential shorts, ALFSS, I know it’s tough to find shares, but Sogotrade apparently had some of CLRH to short
eOn Communications Corporation (EONC) finally tanked to the low 2s that I feel like I’ve been talking about for weeks, but in fact it’s only been a few days…congrats to the several TIMalert subscribers who had the patience to hold this whole time…pumpers can try to prop up a stock up on misleading news, but it inevitably fails because it is manipulation, whether it’s technically illegal or not, it’s certainly unethical…but this is the penny stock market! I look forward to these scumbags using some similar tactic in the future, without them, then I’d have to get a real job or worse, try to value companies based on their businesses (and most likely be right 35% of the time, as is usual for that kind of CNBC-type guessing game)
AmMex Gold Mining Corp. (WWPW) is being pumped just about every one of the lesser stock promoters, aka “The F Team” for the past few days and the stock has gone from 90 cents/share to 99 cents/share…pathetic pump, whoever paid for it is dumping shares every single day, I will wait for volume to fade a bit, but this should collapse rather quickly when it’s over and probly end up under 5 cents/share within a few months/years (I won’t hold that long, that kind of a decline is never as a sure thing as a probable 50% drop after the paid promotion stops)
