So the chart on Rentech, Inc. (RTK) was begging for a solid breakout & my 4,000 share buy the other day at $1.97 looked good as the stock finished higher int he low $2s and even higher premarket at $2.15ish the next day when I sent the following to TIMalert subscribers just after 8am EST:
Sold 4000 RTK at $2.11 Premarket, Quick And Easy Profit, it could/should keep going, its already at 2.15, but if you’ve noticed, I’ve been on a bit of a losing streak, so a $600ish overnight profit is just what the doctor ordered…you’ll see me take quick profits in times like these, just to build my confidence back up, welcome to how REAL traders think…congrats everyone, this one looks like it’ll be in play today so please post profits on timalerts.com
Not a great execution as I missed out on a few more cents, but when you’re on a losing streak, don’t try to be perfect, just get those $550ish easy overnight profits to shore up your confidence. A dozen or so TIMalert subscribers also sold into the decent, if not great, strength, as the stock looked like it’d be in play, but then again, when you’re trading stocks that aren’t true “gimmes” where $40,000 in profits can be expected like on some pump & dumps named Genova Biotherapeutics:

Sweet, right? Only problem is that RTK announced a typically sketchy 11 million share financing at $1.80 at 9:18am EST and the stock tanked to that level…several TIMalert subscribers who wanted to sell, couldn’t because their broker didn’t allow premarket trading! Not huge losses since the stock wasn’t up so much, but think about what could’ve been if it wasn’t such a safe stock? Overall, TIMalert subscribers and I made $6,200 and those unlucky/without premarket trading lost $2,500ish…the good news is everyone learned why I preach in my TIMfundamentals instructional DVD package (check out the reviews)
Sold 3k RTK @ 1.9 for $480 loss. This continues my loosing streak. Covered 2k of my 4k GVBP @ 0.16 for $275 realized profit for now.
