7 Stock Picks For This Fine Market Manipulation Monday Morning

Watch these 7 free video lessons on how I became a millionaire

This daily stock watchlist was sent to TIMalert subscribers last night at 8PM EST because I like them better than you:
Some decent plays for tomorrow, but only one true “gimme” (where I believe the odds of success to be above 80%) in shorting GVBP (I’m short 30,000 shares at 49.5 cents/share, yes, adding $100,000 to my Covestor account allowed me to take a larger position…check out the CEO of one of their “partners” emailing me over the weekend, denying they ever had a dialogue with GVBP let alone any agreement

You can watch Friday’s LiveStock HERE, it was a good one!

TIM trading account—now stands at $72,975, lost $700ish on my ill-time SPDE buy, no positions now, still up 71% in 2009 and up 488% in the last 22 months

Longer Term Account $153570, up $200ish on my 30,000 shares short of GVBP at 49.5 cents/share…account is up 8% since May 1st, 2009 inception…this account can be auto-traded by subscribing HERE

TIMalert subscribers lost $4,500 on Friday, mostly due to SPDE squeezing the longs, not the shorts…gotta learn to cut losses quickly, just as I said I would in my post on SPDE…gotta cut losses quickly when wrong, as does happen from time to time, especially when the pattern isn’t my bread and butter (I watched my PennyStocking Part Deux instructional DVD this weekend and got more disciplined!)

Out of ARNA at 5.44 , up $1100 on ARNA today , thats including an earlier trade.
-McBowler

I made $213 net ($333 gross) on ARNA with $2500 investment which is just great for me. Hope to be better next time. Tim, thanks a lot for the alert!
-Vadim

+$165 net on SPDE … scalped it for $1072 then lost $906
-Reaper

Sold SPDE -$139 on 100 shares
-dsmith

+236 on ARNA , out at 5.35, potential short now?
-Josh T.

Shorted CBBO 2.89 out at 2.68 for $120 :) Sandra
-Sandra

Loss $1219. I know what I have to do now……….. Bye!
-Echo

-850 on SPDE, all my fault. Entered wrong and exited wrong. I broke every rule there is on that one trade, complete idiot.
-Preston

I joined TIM on Sep 11th and I lost every trade that I followed TIM. Total LOSSES $3000+ I hate TIM. I only have 15K account and now it is 12K account.
-Shadow

Took a beating on SPDE. Got out down $750 .
-ditaln

-Geo

Speedus Corp. (SPDE) I took my loss quickly, when it was clear afterhours and premarket that the short sellers would try to knock it down quickly to scare away any and all momentum buyers…yes, it happens, took a $700+ loss and didn’t even consider buying or shorting it the rest of the day since I didn’t know what the shorts were doing and what was actually real…when there’s confusion, I just don’t trade it.

Genova Biotherapeutics, Inc (GVBP) is for TIMalert subscribers only!

Spongetech Delivery Systems, Inc. (SPNG) got the dreaded “E” added to their ticker so now they’re SPNGE, but the stock didn’t care, it was up 14% to 10 cents/share on Friday…stock is too low for me to short or go long, just watching this pump & dump unfold

Genta Incorporated (GETA) was my top potential short Friday, but tanked too quickly…shoulda woulda coulda shorted on the bounce of it trying to get back to even, bit its choppy price action scared on a volatile FRiday scared me away…I hate playing penny games unless they can really collapse 50%+, no play here now for me.

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARNA) and Columbia Bancorp (CBBO) are for TIMalert subscribers only!

Vonage Holdings Corp. (VG) refuses to crack the $1.40s, I’m trying not to be tempted to buy it on this solid holding of technical support as it’ll probly eventually crack below just like OPXA did the other day

Nice fake buys and sells. You got crushed in GVBP, now you try to claim you didnt get a margin call at $ and were out , and found 30k shares to short FRI when there were NO SHARES AT IB.

Hey, no one is vetting your claims, so you can say anything , and you DO. Do.

How many of your people lost their accounts on GVBP. 10 , 20, 200?

    Where;s waldo?

You incredible moron…my trades in GVBP arent just verified by Covestor, they were actually auto-traded by 10 other people:

Thank you for your lack of intelligence and inability to do any research whatsoever, its people like you that make penny stock trading so easy, keep up the great work!

There were shares at IB Friday for a few minutes after the open. Also, it would have been impossible to get a margin call on GVBP due to margining rules on stocks under $2.50

“impossible to get a margin call [...] on stocks under $2.50″ I understand this one. But how do you guys deal with a FTD notice (failed to deliver). IB sent the following message to me last week:

“Based upon information available through 14:30 today, we remain unable to locate and borrow / re-borrow the shares necessary to meet delivery obligations on certain short stock positions in your account. [...] You may wish to consider repurchasing your position(s) in these stocks in order to control your portfolio/risk at any time prior to the end of the current regular trading session (16:00 EST). Transactions occurring after 16:00 cannot be considered against the delivery obligation. [...] As noted above, we will continue to make every effort to locate and borrow the shares necessary to allow you to maintain these short positions, however, given the limited time available in the current trading session we will be unable to provide any further updates as to your account status until delivery of your daily activity statement.”

I was lucky to be able to cover the SLNX position in question with a nice 40% profit. Didn’t enjoy so much being forced to do so. My conclusion: Avoid keeping a short position in sparsely traded stocks for longer than 2 days. How do you deal with this?
