Opexa Therapeutics Inc. (OPXA) and Adeona Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AEN) jumped 270% and 86%, respectively on positive drug data and momentum by association, respectively. Lots of traders like to buy these momo runuos, I prefer waiting, waiting and preparing to short when the fickle day traders exit…both are potential shorts, gotta let the momentum out a lot and for some shares to become available first!

SciClone Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SCLN) got over the key $5 resistance from the get go, all the way to $5.18, but it couldn’t hold its gains…this is one stubborn stock, I’m glad to be done playing with it until it gets less choppy/more exciting
RODM and MERC I sold both for tremendous gains, $3500ish between the two, got morning spikes on both so I took profits…turned out to hit the top on MERC and miss the top on RODM by 40 cents/share. I don’t look back because I went in with a specific plan and nailed both…remember the original alerts, all I wanted was the low $5s RODM, got it, all I wanted on MERC was to sell under $4…I adapted on MERC, yes, as traders we must ALL adapt to price action, because it spiked in the morning on puny volume…usually a good thing to sell into puny volume strength on actively traded stocks…remember, to have bigtime breakouts, volume must be high, otherwise you see fakeouts and MERC’s late day price action is very weak (although it could be caused by analyst downgrading another paper company)…both could still be strong, but since RODM has spiked so fast and has their conference later this week, it’s actually a potential short for me now. (and yes I do have to post all the testimonials from happy TIMalert subscribers because it shows those who didn’t profit good entry and exit prices, aka helps teach people how to make $!!!)
Avro Energy Inc. (AVOE) and Bergamo Acquisition Corp (BGMO) each dropped 25%+ intraday (I know they both only closed down 15% or so, but I don’t look to pick stocks that will drop at the market close, I want to capture those intraday plunges), but alas no shares to short on either rof them…BGMO continues throwing out big #s, announcing a $100 million financing at $1/share afterhours…maybe it is real, but I still think something stinks..both plays are done now anyway, all I do is look for those predictable plunges, now I’m just watching
Alexco Resource Corp. (AXU) and Rubicon Minerals Corp. (RBY) are the gold penny stocks that looked like they were gonna breakout bigtime, but both closed way off their highs, like gold itself…gold might have broken the $1,000 barrier, but it hasn’t done so convincingly, not by a longshot…potential buys and/or shorts depending on gold price action the next few days
