Guys, I absolutely LOVE getting emails like the ones below, so please CONTACT ME HERE and gimme some more goodness:
Well Tim,
For my first TimAlert Short: I shorted 500 CHINA at 2.77 a few days ago. Well I held until today when I had to go to an business appointment. So I set a trailing stop of 1% incase CHINA erupted. Anyways, the stock dropped to $2.62 and my sell limit was $2.64 which was eventually filled while I was AFK.
So after commissions, I earned a simple $55 dollars. But the learning and experience I received is priceless! I have a better understanding of what you are looking for.
Also, I see you just shorted CHINA again (which probably pushed the stock lower then $2.70), but I think with it now leveling off in the low $2.60′s that many buyers out there are anticipating this E/R that is going to be released next week. Who knows though…

Damnnn… Learned big lesson this week. I switched from Sykes-style trading rule that has earned me 10K+ in a month into Long-style trading. BOT Citigroup @4 hoping it will break out now got burned so bad. BOT RINO @16 before earning hoping for great earning, now got burned. BOT RIMM @79 hoping it will go back to 52wk High like AAPL, now got killed. Total Down 15Kish… Now still holding all three. do you think I should bail and start over or wait till it goes back up?

So lets recap the lessons here:
1. My TIMalerts newsletter is not meant to be traded off of…it’s meant to help you guys better understand and learn my trading strategy & implement it for yourselves and do better than me! This is a sentence that makes this guy soooo very proud: But the learning and experience I received is priceless! I have a better understanding of what you are looking for.
2. This sentence makes me cringe: “I switched from Sykes-style trading rule that has earned me 10K+ in a month into Long-style trading…Total Down 15Kish…” Guys, it’s fiiiiine to try new trading strategies, but please never forget my#1 rule (which even I have problems following 100% of the time): CUT LOSSES QUICKLY
