While in Chicago for my podcast with Thinkorswim co-founder Tom Sosnoff (check out the pdocast HERE), I couldn’t help but stop in Alinea Restaurant (click that link and see the gallery of food, its craaaazy).
While it doesn’t compare to El Bulli–check out this ridiculous blog post HERE–Alinea restaurants is one of the best restaurants in the world.
My girlfriend Daleela and I had a great dinner with some snobby waiters, very interesting combinations and sweet wine even though we asked for dry (I sound like a whiny little baby, but I’m not…just explaining the good and bad things about the restaurant (according to the Alinea sommelier, a wine isn’t sweet even if it tastes sweet to us….oh no, a wine’s sweetness is determined by the amount of sugar in the wine (what a jerk!))

(we didn’t just east off our dirty table, they covered the table with a special mat just before we ate off it…not that we had any idea what was going on)
