This was sent to TIMalert subscribers around midnight so they could be prepared for this today’s trading action:
I want all you guys to start using our cool new Twitter app Chart.ly to share stock charts on Twitter…here’s a basic intro video:

TIM trading account: No open positions, $48,299, UP 9.2% in April, UP 13.5% in 2009, UP 289% since inception 18 months ago…ready to pounce today on pump and dumps and potentially flu plays
Today’s gonna be a busy busy busy day…first with the stock promoter we all know and love coming out with their weekly pick, hopefully as usual at 10am—which will be a potential buy if you can be quick and then a longer term short…and of course swine flu is breaking out so there are a ton of speculative penny stocks that can be linked to the flu
DDRX just keep surging past $7 now, making me feel guilty/proud for buying at $4.18…it’s been a while since there was such a big winner sna di’m glad I at least took a part of it, as did TIMalert subscribers with over $10,000 in gains. I was filming this video interview for TheStreet.com right as the stock was breaking out past my $5.50 buy point—not sure why more of you didn’t partake, but I know it’s scary…now at $7+, I gotta believe its becoming a better short than a buy…might be tough to find shares, but I’ll try…especially if it can spike to $8/9 very quickly, could be a good entry…anyway, two great TIMalert testimonials:
Hey Tim, thanks for the heads up on DDRX. Just made $180 on the breakout this morning… bought at 5.57 and sold at 6.31, you’re the man. you called this one!

Bought 2000 $DDRX @ 5.65, Sold @ 6.80. $2300 profit. Thanks.

CBOU is the coffee play that’s piggybacking the DDRX runup, chart has gone vertical since $2ish, resistance is coming up at $3.50, stock is currently at $3.35, potential short, but I’d love to see shorts get squeezed past the resistance otherwise it’s too risky to short due to sector momentum.
FIG consolidated in a choppy fashion after its big runup form the day before…potential short if it can break below $3.20-$3.25, ut I probly won’t play it considering how many other good plays there are today….check out this one TIMalert subscriber who timed his short well:
+$750 on shorting FIG on open, rebuying and selling at $3.50

LLNW has recently had a nice runup and a breakout-type chart, just under $4…now some bloggers have been saying they won a court case against AKAM…we’ll see if the news turns out to be important, potential buy LLNW, potential short AKAM
Okay, let’s get to the bird flu stocks, there are a ton, but some will be more volatile than others…they’re all gonna open up big and probly keep spiking, no way am I gonna start buying, or shorting until we have several days of spiking or some ridiculous 100-200%+ type moves…here’s a good overview post from a blogger I follow, NNVC, NVAX, and SVC are his plays
BAX is a $50 stock, but this article makes it one to watch and GILD is another $50-ish stock that gets royalties on Tamiflu, which could help
NVAX and BCRX were mentioned in this Reuters piece, BCRX stock surged 25% on Friday but the CEO basically said they’re not in any shape to do anything about it…that’ll be one of my top shorts when this is all said and done….NVAX jumped 75% on Friday to $1.40, adding another 50 cents afterhours as the CEO basically begged to be a part of this flu helping, it should trade in the $2s or maybe even the $3s before its spike is over…both potential shorts as both companies are carcasses, unable to do anything successfully, they’re so bad, their stuff will likely kill people before saving them…seriously (kidding, but just look at their longterm charts, every spike has been a good time to short)
Lots of other plays like APT at $1.36 which could be interesting since they make masks…those are my main plays, also watch alllll these others ones to see how much they spike: SVA, HEB, AVII, CBMX, CRXL, GNBT, HEB, SNY, too many to really keep track of, but Chart.ly’s charts tagged “flu” can help
RUTH is stair-stepping higher from $2 to $3ish, not that exciting with all the other stuff going on, but it’s a potential short once we get the proper fading action.
Today’s video watchlist will be linked in the comments section of this blog post on TIMalerts.com
