14 Low Priced Stocks To Buy & Short Sell If You Dare….

Posted by Timothy Sykes on Tue 14th of Apr, 2009 12:50:33 PM

Sent to TIMalert subscribers at 1AM:

Another day with several plays, some of which I missed, but one opportunity I hit nicely:

MDOR is a weird little OTCBB stock/$40mil market cap/2 person recycling company that has tripled from 30 cents to 90 cents/share in 3 days…it doesn’t have a hugely downtrending longterm chart like I prefer so it’s only a potential short, not urgent, unless fading price action/volume starts to set in.

GCI is the one I really regret missing today…easy to borrow short, this newspaper giant was up from $2.5 to $5 in 2 days and I thought about shorting it around $4.60-$4.40 (it close at $4ish), but hesitated due to the fact it was up so much on the day still….gotta be aggressive sometimes and several TIMalert subscribers profited nicely…sorry guys, I’ll try harder to not be such a little baby:

FIRST TIME TIM TRADE: GCI- short 700 @ 4.30, covered at 3.99. + $217. That pays for almost a year of Tim alerts on day 1..
-O.

What a day Tim. you rock man.
Shorted GCI …$810 profit in few hours
- AS

…was waiting for the alert that never came and I made $773 after commissions on GCI. I shorted when it failed to hold $4.60, covered at $4.22 due to work, all inside an hour, pays for both PennyStocking DVDs I have—thanks Tim!
-K.L.

I focused on GCI it had a huge gain of up to 32% early morning, then it took a pattern taught to me in the DVDs I purchased from Tim. I got in and shorted a little later than I wanted to but it paid off big time…I shorted 200 shares @ 4.66, and at that point the stock collapsed. It was gorgeous. it fell to 3.88 then went to 4.10 then back to 4.00 were it stayed for a while and I decided to get out and covered @ 4.0388 for a nice profit of $104.26 +12.907299%

DNDN gapped $1-2/share higher yesterday—that’s why it’s scary to short biotech stocks with upcoming drug data, held the majority of its gains all day and then was halted afterhours on news we’ll finally learn about the drug data tomorrow morning premarket…no odds whatsoever in trying to guess whether they’ll succeed or fail, friendly time wasting sidebets only people…if it spikes huge, it could still be a good short, if it drops, it could still be a good buy, gotta see what price action it takes on, I’m just very glad I could care less either way unlike the many suckers who will go down with the ship (short sellers too if the company actually succeeds)..learn how not to be one of these degenerate guessers/CNBC watchers and laugh at them as win or lose, they have succumbed to emotion and will never be able to achieve longlasting success, instead be destined to a life of endless guessing games and their last words on their death bed will be “I coulda been somebody, I was so close”

FEED I’m long 4000 shares at $3.13…goal is to sell into a morning spike/gap up to the $3.75 range as its on sooo many traders’ radar…check out what I wrote in THIS post

CVIV is the marijuana stock I featured HERE the other day, now up to $1.80…nice low volume (30,000 shares/day) upwards manipulation going on here, gotta love it…potential buy if you’re high and wanna risk a 50% crash when the manipulation ends, potential short if you can find shares

RCRC I correctly predicted it wouldn’t gap higher, but then it uptrended all day, squeezing greedy shorts

APWR was the latest earnings runner I wussied out on…truly pathetic man, no excuses whatsoever, it broke the $6.10 breakout point I wrote about in yesterday’s premarket watchlist early in the day, gave us plenty of time to buy and then surge in the afternoon to $6.60ish…only 1-2 TIMalert subscribers followed my watchlist idea—probly the same guys who banked on the RT earnings runner….now this is extended, but I’m not even thinking about shorting it, next!

Bought 5000 APWR at 6.33 sold at 6.49 just under 800$ profit. total
profit from alerts = $2080 Shane B

CZZ kept surging 8% to $4.80, not a short anymore, if it breaks $5, it could squeeze stubborn shorts who don’t understand that there’s no resistance until $8ish!…I’m talking to you Pallian, cut your losses quickly or don’t blame me for blowing out your account. (You really think I like taking quick losses, no, it’s to protect me against big ones! Learnnnnn people!)

ECSL is one of the sketchiest Pink Sheet companies out there, its surged from 10 cents to 70 cents in a few days, manipulation at its finest, potential short obviously, good luck finding shares to short though!

ISTA is a potential buy, kinda boring though, as it broke out a multi-month base just under $2…closed at $2.18, breakout is $2.25

HBAN, ETFC, CAEI, FFG are 4 finance stocks breaking out of recent ranges…no hype, not manipulation, so I’m not as interested in buying, even though this is basic same chart pattern as FEED, u can see their graphs HERE

ECSL - Heads up that they have spiked higher than they have in 3 years due to sales on a new product set to start this month... Watch out and don't short it if you are reading this post because you missed the chance and this one is sitting on good news.
