TIM trading account: Made $150 yesterday, no open overnight positions, $48,452, UP 10% in April, UP 14% in 2009, UP 290% since inception 18 months ago

Yesterday was a busy swine flu play, but there weren’t many shares available to short of the best plays—which is good because it’s only the first day of their runups—and neither were there shares to short of StockPreacher pump and dump…ah well, today the plays are decent to above average again.

EVII was StockPreacher’s pump and dump yesterday, good for buyers if they were quick, like those listed below, but there weren’t any shares to short anywhere…ah well it didn’t jump much because the preacher sold his 95,000 shares he got for doing the pump right away, stock only up 26%…still a potential short if I can find shares

long EVII at 1.68 out 1.74, made $70
-BTB

long EVII at $1.36, sold at $1.60ish…screwed up a bit but still made +$680

BCRX got the predictable swine flu spike, even though the CEO said his company can’t help, so I shorted into the morning short squeeze, 500 shares (all that was left at Interactive Brokers) at $4.40, got bored/scared and took my $150 profit at $4.10, stock finished just under, but strong into the market close, potential short again today, hopefully into strength…but only if we get the proper fading action I outline in my PennyStocking DVDs…at least these TIMalert subscribers baaaanked yesterday, tining their shorts better than me!

My first trade since joining TIMalerts last wk. Covered at $4.01. Made $556. Thanks tIm!!!!

i went long pre-market at 3.51 and sold at 4, tried to short up here, can’t get a borrow. quick $491 profit less commissions!

covered BCRX @ 3.75 in the men’s room! became an annual TIMalert subscriber last week and I just paid for it this morning
-Adam

Shorted 700 BCRX @ 4.15. Covered @ 3.69 & 3.99 for a quick $142 profit. Thanks Tim.
-Scott W.

BCRX out for a $250 gain, patience paid off there.
-BTB

BCRX in short @ 4.24 on the second runup for the day (missed it on the first, so waited on better entry.) out @3.96 on the second time it cracked 4$ for the day.
potentially alot more downside. but playing it safe as you always say :)
nice 5% scalp.

NVAX we all knew would eb strong, but a jump from $1 to $4 when nobody really needs their help, well that’s just ridiculous…that’s why the only people to win here were those who bought the day before, like PennyStocking student Jay, otherwise it was tough/impossible to find shares to short as the stock dropped from $4 to $2.5 intraday…still a potential short today, again, ideally into strength.

stopped out of NVAX at 3.17 and 3.09. $4600 gain. thanks again tim! you brought me back to the basics. this trade paid for your complete set of dvds that i bought, the annual Tim alerts, and about $3k in profit!

APT, the mask maker, surged from 41ish to $3ish premarket, retreating to $2ish by the end of the day yesterday, great potential short, tough to find shares ☹

GNBT was one of the only swine flu plays to dip and then rebound late day, a nice double 25 cents to 65 cents, potential short, although I’d love to see it up to $1 or so first.

SVA has the same swine flu-ish chart as all the rest, middle of the road, it jumped from $2 to $2.76, dropped but rebounded a bit, potential short.

DDRX tanked early morning, but kept its earnings run alive, now hitting $8…all those happy TIMalert subscribers who bought with me in the low $4s pretty feel dumb right about now, such is trading sometimes, take what profits you can.

CBOU I called perrrrrfectly, it did take out resistance at $3.50, squeezing shorts all the way to $4, but faded back to $3.30 yesterday, I couldn’t find shares to short ☹ no play here now, next!

VIFL surged 20% late day on news of alfalfa sprouts now need decontamination…nice play, but tough because it’s soo illiquid and it actually moves based on message board chatter (THIS news came out in the morning and yet no movement until the boards lit up late day) (see which boards I track in my TIMfundamentals DVD package)

RT a lot of TIMalert subscribers and random people emailing me that they’re short this stock, might pan out, but shorting earnings breakouts is incredibly tough/costly, as DDRX shorts have learned the hard way, no thanks guys, but good luck

KIRK is another multi-week runner that people wanna short…nope…I short for the first quick drop only, then the pattern becomes far less predictable and it trades like a real company…go watch CNBC and stop bothering me with your guessing games.
