To my surprise/delight, I’ve gotten a few emails from TIMalert subscribers, haters and random people who think it’s wrong of me to go away for a month while still running my online business.

Uhhhh, that’s the beauty of PennyStocking/blogging, you can do both/either or from anywhere in the world! (except a few places like Japan where the time zone change makes it rather difficult)

As my girlfriend will tell you, I might be a master trip planner (see our itinerary HERE….we were both so sick flying back from cairo through Switzerland, we stayed an extra few days and checked out Zurich, Lausanne & went skiing in Gstaad!), but I still work my ass off while we’re traveling as not a day has gone by where I didn’t devote at least 3-4 hours to blogging/trading/research, always putting out a detailed a daily pre-market watchlist for TIMalert subscribers, no matteer if I had to go without sleep a night or two to do it!

While my trading has suffered last month, it’s not because of my trip, it’s because there haven’t been ANY exponential runups truly worth shorting…or any one with shares available to short…it happens. I did force two trades at the end of the month, which reduced trading profits from $2k+ to breakeven, but that $2k didn’t/will never make or break me.

In fact, the trip probly helped my trading as sitting home alone in NYC, I’d probly have forced many more trades and been negative on the month as a result.

You see what people are really angry about is that I made $40k-$50k basically while on vacation…and they’re still working their butts off 9-5pm for $50k/year!!! And now they’re getting laid off too!

Sorry dudes, but your business model stinks, PennyStocking/blogging is just better

    Everyone needs to settle down. There are far too many people that take Tim too seriously. You need to understand who/what he and his blog/business model are. He has never said he’s the greatest trader or the most intelligent person in the world. His site is entertaining. His book was ok, easy ready, passed time on flights/train rides and his methodolgy does have some merit. Alot of Tim at one time might be difficult to swallow but in small doses, he’s great. I’ve taken his methods, understood the premise behind it and tweaked it. It’s been good to me. Will it last, probably not. The market is ever changing and a good trader needs to be flexible and 1 small step behind it. Never anticipate but rather just trade what the market gives you. So for all the haters and alert subscribers, just relax. You pay nearly nothing for the service, if it works great and if he’s busy so what. He needs a life too and so do you. Learn what makes it work and start making your own calls. It’s not rocket science, it’s discipline. Are some of you hating due to jealosy? I’m jealous that he makes 50k a month. I think I’m smarter than him and it takes me 4 months of hard work to make that. But, instead of hating, it motivates me to not only trade better to take financial control of my life but also to think like him and be outside of the box and try to come up with my own business so one day I can have lazy haters jealous of me like Tim has. So everyone calm down and just be entertained and motivated by a guy like Tim. If he fails going forward, at least he’s banked a good year, probably documented another set of stories and experiences to write another book and I’m sure a creative, hard working guy like that will have another business model to “sucker” everyone into again. Good Job Tim and thanks for the entertainment and motivation cuz I do hate a little but mainly just jealous and need to be pushed by you every morning as I check my covestor account.

    thanks james and yes, it does sound like u’re smarter than me, funny how people assume i think i’m the best, watch any of my DVDs, read my book and u’ll see i’m just a normal guy with a ton of experience in a misunderstood niche

    No Problem. Just being honest and tired of people talking rather than doing. That’s why I do get entertained and motivated by you. You are a normal guy who sometimes get too high in the midst of great success and too down during small setbacks. You remind me of me or some of my friends. What you have proven since your high school days is that you’re a normal guy with a great business mind (ie tennis racket stringing). It’s guys like you that this country was built on in terms of industrialization. People that don’t accept the status quo, the glass cieling and the traditional ways of making a life/career.
    PS. I’m catching up in covestor… 1 more vacation for you and I’ll have your spot ranked by annualize absolute return.

    I’m def almost always pissed off at half the shit Tim says….but then again, i keep coming back to read what he has to say and what other craaazy ideas he has…and i love it for some damn reason. Maybe i’m waiting for him to slip up, or maybe i’m just jealous of his returns. or maybe we just have the Jewish connection… I dunno. But as James said…it’s entertaining.

    James sounds like a smart dude, so congratulations James I love to see people who have succeeded, it’s all about that discipline.. seriously, as for TIM I don’t see him going out of business any time soon, he’s also really smart and for sure has the discipline down, and for the rest of you.. stop hating learn from TIM and traders like him, instead of being jealous get off your asses and read a book, study some charts, and think outside of the box, oh and get some friggen discipline, you will never know how out of control you really are until you take a good hard look at yourself, there are so many things you probably couldn’t do because you lack self control, but that’s why you try. Building discipline and choosing to do the right thing takes time, but change is a choice.. so in a way success is a choice.. I honestly believe that a person can do anything they put there mind to, so to all of haters out there, stop it, and change your thinking and your actions, or don’t.
