Why It’s Funny To Watch People/US Government Try To Fight Economics

Posted by Timothy Sykes on Fri 2nd of Jan, 2009 08:35:45 AM

When I read headlines/articles like “Fixing the housing market
High inventory is killing home builders, and the industry asks for help
” I can’t help but laugh.

Just as this WSJ article “US tries to lift home sales” amuses me. Amusing me as if the articles were written by a clown.

Because I’ve taken 2 economics courses….which is apparently more than any cry baby housing developer or government official have taken–although they probly have taken those classes too, it just didn’t sink in because of the massive holes in these guys’ brains…yes, it’s a known fact that these two classes of “people” are akin to neanderthals aka the same intelligence level as most penny stock investors.

Do they not realize the problem is that there’s just waaaaaaaay to much supply out there and people are waaaaaaaaay too poor–and getting poorer every day as their debts and leverage catch up to them–and that cannot be stopped?

Okay, okay, I understand, elected officials’ jobs are to help people so they must try to help citizens. no matter that the pain of the citizens’ is due directly to the citizens’ greed….and the pain now is well deserved.

An elected official who goes on record saying the pain is deserved, that people are dumb/greedy and this is good for them, that there is absolutely nothing to be done except rip the vocal chords out of all time wasting pundits, that we need to let the free market economy solve and that given all our debt/leverage addiction and these government interventions, any comeback is gonna take closer to a decade, if ever, rather than just a few years won’t stay in office very long.

As I learned form the awesome movie, Milk, people love making assumptions and ignoring reality.

Well, I’m gonna have a ton of fun over the next few years, I suggest you embrace the pain/ignorance, adapt because others won’t and you can dominate whatever you do and be happy too!

Are you saying that even though this whole mess was caused by people getting loans for stuff they couldn't afford isn't going to be solved by the government giving GMAC billions of dollars so that they could lower their credit standards and lend to people that shouldnt be buying cars?

Come on we gotta stimulate the people.
