Grow the f%^ up!
If you don’t show your track record/trades/investments/income, you’re worthless and so are all your blog posts where make predictions and guesses.
You’re giving advice on how to make money and yet the vast majority of you wouldn’t know how to capture those dollars if I was slapping your regulated/stuffy/classy faces with my big fat juicy wad $100 bills that account for $80,000+ in monthly blog income!
Because it seems like only me and John Chow are the only ones who detail all our big fat gains with any consistency (and Johnny has been so detailed lately!) (if anyone knows of anyone else doing it, please comment with some links below)
You know how I’m always railing for transparency in the joke of a financial industry, well, blogging is soooooo new and people are trying soooooo many different strategies to make money and get noticed, it’s absolutely pathetic for anyone to be tight lipped about what’s worked or what hasn’t for them.
You stuffy, cowardly, introverted, respectable bloggers who come up with excuses like:
1. it’s shameless
2. it’s bad for business
3. I’m a little bitch, sorry
4. I have problems with lying and exaggerating due to my massive insecurity so transparency wouldn’t suit me
5. variations on shit like 1-4
….need to grow the $%^ up and understand that by telling the truth, be it good or bad, you build your blog/brand/readership since everyone else is too chickenshit to be brutally honest!
You think your readers really want those sketchy/fraudulent ads that pay out big affiliate money? No of course not!
Wisen up, if you promote shitty products, your readers aren’t gonna be happy. Enjoy the few hundred/thousand now and risk losing what little respect anyone has for you!
There is a reason why I’m making $80k/month, up from $40k just a few months ago and it’s because I don’t promote frauds and I tell it like it is. Trust me, you do that too and your readers will respect you more.
And if you’re in the shady ‘how to make money online’ racket, the only way to prove you’re not a fraud is to detail your income as best you can.
Otherwise, I, along with everyone else, will assume you’re a fraud and while we might be polite–others might be, but I definitely won’t be–to you, you’re gonna make less $ then if you just come out with the big dark secret that is your income.
C’mon financial blogosophere stop being so pathetic and man up.
