This one was on my morning watchlist that I sent out to TIMalert subscribers premarket (so they can prepare for any potential trades), had a beautiful morning fakeout drop yesterday to suck in some early shorts, people who are too cheap to purchase my new DVDs that warn against such morning drops who learned stock market losses/dumb trading mistakes cost waaay more than the $297-397 price of my new DVDs….let’s just get to the alerts I sent out themselves:
Shorted 2000 PERY at $5 yesterday afternoon:
just as i said i might in my morning watchlist, i shorted PERY at $5…not ideal since its still up on the day, but methinks this is just a short squeeze from over-eager shorters early this morning…stock is pretty much where it was before they reported horrible earnings last thursday…waaaay in debt, probly going under/restructuring…thats why the PE is 3…my goal is to cover just above this morning’s low of $4.31…i’ll cover quickly if the stock starts spiking/market starts up as it has been known to do lately.

Covered at $4.68 this morning:
covered 2000 PERY at $4.468ish, didn’t like the market’s overall strength
today, how Saks 5th avenue reported horrible earnings and didn’t take much
and the buyers int he $4.60 area…not a bad $700ish profit, perfect plays

As it turned out, the market did spike, as did PERY, but Saks had a horrific conference call at 10am and dropped a cool 25%, helping PERY slide gradually lower too, which was helped even more by this pathetic overall market.

PERY did in fact drop down to my initial alert target of just above $4.30, so I made 30ish cents/share and left another 30ish cents/share on the table. Welcome to my life…some TIMalert subscribers have gotten used to my premature exits, but many bank just the same:
