The Latest In Depth PennyStocking Instructional Trading DVD Review

Posted by Timothy Sykes on Sun 5th of Oct, 2008 04:57:17 PM

I’m not associated with this guy in any way, but when TIMalerts subscriber Kusumo (#4 ranked on Covestor, see rankings HERE, leaves testimonials galore on my TIMalerts pages like ““Out of the position now and profited $295 after commissions. Thanks Tim.”) sent me the link to his PennyStocking DVD review, I knew it’d be positive.

Because that #4 ranking, out of 10,000+ wannabe traders/investors. See the rankings HERE and along with my near always rank of #1 and now another DVD student Adam N. ranked #2 (remember his inspiring story), means my strategy works wonders.

Especially in this ugly market.

And all those who rip on me, short selling, and penny stocks, and me short selling penny stocks are jealous.

Because while it’s not the ideal get-rich-quick strategy in that a.) it’s not scalable, meaning you cannot make more than a few hundred grand/year max (unless there’s a 1999/2000-like market environment b.) you have to work at it, meaning it takes some practice and c.) even if you don’t trade every day, you always have to be on the lookout, meaning it actually takes time to achieve superior returns, it’s the best thing that’s ever worked for me and you’re fortunate enough that my crazy life has turned out the way it has so that it’s in my own best interest to teach you and make you into better trader than I ever was. (reminder: detailed seminars October 17th in Vancouver, November 19th Las Vegas, details HERE!)

OK, enough of me, let’s hear some excerpts of what Kusumo thinks of the DVD and why it’s a given that he’ll be purchasing my PennyStocking Part Deux DVD that’s available for pre-order now:

Tim then goes into defining numerous terms. It’s as basic as you can get. This is the stuff I learned in my 400 level Finance classes in college. Tim is trying to attract new traders that are from different industries and this section of the DVD is absolutely essential to those without trading experience. “Learn from the bottom up” as Tim states. If you are a seasoned trader, this glossary of financial terms can be skipped.

Near the end of the first DVD is where Tim starts getting into rules he follows such as the maximum amount of positions he plays, taking losses quickly, etc. If you want to learn Tim’s methods, this part of the DVD cannot be skipped like the earlier section on financial terms even if you are a seasoned trader.

Disc 1 ends as Tim introduces you to chart patterns- clean vs. messy charts using stocks Tim has traded in the past. He focuses on clean charts before the first disc comes to an end.

….Now the end of disc 4 is probably where this DVD set will need the most repeated viewings. It is in this section where Tim spells out the lessons he has learned from his gains and mistakes.

…Conclusion:

Compared to other trading courses offered online, the $297 asking price for Tim’s DVD is relatively low. Do you get your monies worth out of it? I would say that depends on your level of trading experience. For complete newbs to trading or even penny stocks, this DVD is a must view. It will catch you up to where the penny stock environment is now. Like Tim mentions multiple times in the DVD, “Don’t just rely on this DVD. It’s an introduction.” Seasoned traders will be able to pick up on Tim’s strategy by reading the archive of posts on his blog. Depending on where you are on your experience of trading, this DVD set is either exceptionally good or just good. I don’t see where any critic can call this a “bad” production.

Personally, I think this DVD is worth purchasing if you take notes throughout its viewing. The binder that came with the set is a perfect way to jot down your thoughts as it has the slides that are presented in the DVD. I commend Tim on his ability to admit his mistakes and you will see this throughout the DVD. The book that is included, An American Hedge Fund, is an entertaining read and mostly resembles discs 3 and 4 where Tim takes you through his trading years. I found it helpful to read the book before watching the DVD.

I have several brokerage accounts and I’ve been following Tim’s method for two months exclusively in one of them. This is the account that is being tracked on Covestor that you can see on the right hand side of this page. As of this writing, I am currently ranked 3rd on Covestor and I can attribute the majority of that to Tim. My loses in the market during this two month period are because I did not follow the rules that Tim outlines in this DVD. I’ve found that I, like most people, like to learn lessons the hard way.

Remember you can see the entire review with screenshots HERE and buy my original PennyStocking DVD along with the new one that focuses on intraday chart patterns and updates the strategy with examples from 2007 and 2008, check out PennyStocking.com.

    Tim-
Your DVD sucks! I'd rather be forced to watch The Notebook over and over again than have to endure listening to you blather on about penny stocking.

Notice how you get no responses to your blogs anymore when I'm not responding? 15 responses to your posts is pathetic. When I call you out on your snake oil, I create 100+ responses to your blogs. Do you miss me, Tim Cramer?

    Boo-boo-boo-yah!!!
  • Pallian
Hey DumbassBum - we get 80-100 comments per post on all timalerts.com posts... no one here misses you.

If anything, I think you miss us by showing up here every once in a while looking for some cheap glorification. Go back to your cubicle day job.
  • CABeachBum
    Pallian-
Aren't you a minimum wage webmaster begging for handouts from Tim Cramer's blog readers? I don't post on here for any glorification. I just don't drink the Tim Cramer Kool-Aid and kiss his ass. I call him out on his snake oil.

Whatever happened to his lame Beastie Boys video idea?
  • Zykosis
hey what's wrong with a cubicle day job...

Cabeachbum, you should ask Tim for a cut, looks like he is doing $70k plus a month with his blog thanks to the traffic you generate, it will only be fair for you to get at least half of that.

By the way Tim, don't forget my cut, $5k a month and I'll keep on posting.

I hope we have a hell of a crash tomorrow so we bottom and promoters can finally get back to work.

Been reading Reminiscenses of a stock operator from Jesse Livermore today, hell of a good read. Incredible all the books you can download for free with bit torrent. Seriously considering buying a sony reader to take these pdfs on the go..... maybe after next alert.

Only reason there is more comments when you post is because you get more people making fun of your dumbass. Like Pallian said the people that actually post anything post it in the members only website or chat. There's nothing special about you or any other shit head hater. Who ever it is they get made fun of.

Only difference I see about you is that you're too fucking stubborn or just plain stupid and keep coming back to try and reveal some great secret about Tim. Just about every insult you keep coming back with Tim has basically said the same thing about himself. Only thing you claim that he doesn't already is you say he is selling snake-oil. A snake oil salesman is just after a quick buck to get someone to buy just one thing and they high tale it.

You supposedly claim to be some hotshot trader yourself and if that is actually true I can see how you may thing that this strategy isn't worth much to you. The fact of the matter is there are far more people that don't know a lot about how to get started in the stock market. So far I haven't found any that compares to what Tim is doing. Yeah it may be peanuts to such a big shot as yourself but I know if I was making the kind of money you claim to be I sure as hell wouldn't be wasting my time trying to dog on some lowly little short seller.

  • who cares about the market? total guesisng game, focus on the task at hand, let the morons tear themselves to pieces
  • Getshorty - who are those guys on your photo gallery? They scare me....
  • LOL DumbassBum - "minimum wage webmaster" ??? LOL.
I prolly make more in a month than you make in a year.. but forget abt that - that beastie boys video will be out in the next few days - so hold on to your panties...
  • CABeachBum
    Pallian-
When you ask me if I want my groceries in paper or plastic, I'll take paper. You "prolly" make more in a month than I make in a year? No, you don't. But you're "prolly" a lot more uneducated and going nowhere in life as long as you keep talking like a 5th grader.
  • LOL - and this is coming from a guy who likes to spend his days picking petty fights on here. I could "prolly" ban you from here for good - but then who else would stroke your little ego?
