USS Now 47% Below Yesterday’s TIMalert To Short Sell That Bitch

Posted by Timothy Sykes on Wed 30th of Jul, 2008 07:09:59 PM

When I’m right, I brag. When I’m wrong, I brag even more (considering I detail my mistakes like no other in this joke of an industry–yeah suck on that scumbag snakeoil pieces of sh$%!). So when I’m dead on–as my alerts on USS have been (it’s even dropped further faster than I ever imagined)–you better believe I’m gonna write not just one blog post–read yesterday’s post HERE about how much I and others made shorting the turd of a company USS–there’s gonna be 2 posts…

And tonight’s post about it is even more impressive, not because I made a lot of $–as TIMalert subscribers know I quickly bought and sold 1500 shares of it this morning during its freefall, scalping an easy/risky $200 (buy at $2.54, sell at $2.69 within 3 minutes…too quick for a trade alert…it happens sometimes)–but because of the bigtime testimonials from TIMalert subscribers below showing they’ve made several thousand dollars from my $30/month TIMalerts subscription service and the fact that in my original alert I said if news comes out, chances are it’ll be negative cuz that’s what the odds are for companies with horrendous charts like this one.

The news is unimportant, the pattern is perfect, the testimonials below are priceless…especially from Reaper aka Michael Goode aka my one time biggest hater (see his pre-TIMalerts assumption-laced “Timothy Sykes is full of bullship” post, who, no matter the $ I’ve made him, now $10,000+ all based on a $500 investment in my TIMalerts annual subscription & PennyStocking DVD Package (which you can purchase HERE), still refuses to put me on his damn blogroll, even though his blog gets about 5 hits/day:

USS Short 3000 7/29/2008 $4.027 $12,081 7/30/2008 $2.725 $3,904.17 47.75%

USS Short 1200 7/29/2008 $3.397 $4,076 7/30/2008 $2.846 $660.97 19.35%

USS Short 200 7/30/2008 $3.475 $695 7/30/2008 $2.846 $125.83 22.11%

Total profit from USS today and yesterday: $9543.74
Total net profit from USS (after netting out Monday’s accidental trade): $7367.49
-Reaper

Tim- My entry was $3.89 not ideal- @2k shares- money wise $2,560 after Commission……. I use TOS
-lmsmith

Out of USS as well… holy crap that was amazing, thank you Tim!! Total gain of $637 after commissions on a $1500 account!!!!!

1500 more tim and the handcuffs are off!
  • covestor doesnt differentiate between a short and a normal sell, by the time they update, i'm usually done, look at the list of trade on http://www.timalerts.com and tell me how many shorts you see vs. longs
  • mark johnson
mark stop smoking crack, 2 out of every 3 trades for me is a short

    Visa profit up 41%

Sounds like a runner this morning. Anyone on the way to the Olympics? The only way you can purchase tickets is via Visa. Then when you get back, start your Christmas shopping with your Visa, Thanks.

You'd have to be doing a hell of a lot of trading to be able to make more then 3 day trade and still make it less then 6% of your trade for the week. Not really worth the effort. If you were making that many trade a week you'd need to be able to have more then 3 day trades just to keep up.
  • Get Shorty..... Reloaded
Jay, you are wrong. If you don't close the position the same day you opened it you can do as many trades as you like 6, 10,
10 000, no limit. I am positive on this one.

    Tim,

how old is that info on your brokers? Ameritrade for example hasn't charged $10.99 for trades for over 2 years.

Lot's of that info is completely outdated.
  • Pumacom
Brent, TMR offering a shot at redemption... I'd buy at 3.31 if I were going to be near a computer tomorrow... may have to do it through my phone internet... not going to call Scottrade and let those fools mess up another trade for me...
  • yaktipper
That's a @$%!load of extra commissions per week, but that sounds right.
  • Jay
A pattern day trader is defined in Exchange Rule 431 (Margin Requirement) as any customer who executes 4 or more round-trip day trades within any 5 successive business days[2] If, however, the number of day-trades is more than 3 but is 6% or less than the total number of trades that trader has made for that five business day period, the trader will not be considered a pattern day trader and they will not be required to meet the criteria for a pattern day trader.

SO, if you take 10k out of your portfolio, and buy 20 $500positions, sell the next day, buy the day after that, and sell the day after that, etc, you should be able to trade 6 times a week, its not much, but its a loophole. Right?

First glance at the TIM recent trade list you might think they are all longs 'cause it just has buy/sell price. Same thing with Covestor listing trades of people you are watching -- sometimes hard to tell if it's a short or long when the buy and sell are listed in the wrong order.
  • younggunz
Wow, I have to hand it to you Tim. You have a knack for attracting some of the dumbest haters. I mean come on if you're going to take the time to try and call someone out get your damn facts right. I've only read maybe 1-2 hater comments where I haven't said to myself, "What the fuck is this person talking about?"

If you're going to take the time to talk shit you need to take time to actually look around the site and actually see what he's doing. Yeah Tim is his own best hype man but who cares how he acts when he's openly displaying ever trade he's made win or lose.
  • The Chad
IVVI - it's had three solid days and I think it wants to go DOWN...
  • i'll trade whenever i see an ideal play, same number of plays, just more trades/play...wont affect alerts
  • mark stop smoking crack, 2 out of every 3 trades for me is a short...and dont listen to customer reps, they're even lower on the human scale than the SEC

    markjohnson,

The long picks are great patterns and have exponential potential. Why pass up 10 great long setups if the odds are greatly in your favor. Unless you are me and miss them through laziness and incompetence.
  • Neil
Hey Tim, Do you plan on trading more often when you hit 25k? if so how will that affect timalerts? thanks. Great numbers!
  • Reaper
and I added you to my blogroll in the meantime.
  • Reaper
Okay, Tim, I've had enough of your whining. I signed up to join TimLinks.
  • Reaper
Tim -- I'll add you to my blogroll sometime soon, and I'll post an article about how wonderful you are. In case you haven't noticed I haven't done much of anything to my blog recently--too busy trading (and trying to change brokers, as you know). And my blog actually gets about 100 visits a day.
  • markjohnson
    Tim,
I am just curious why you talk a huge short game up and go long on most everything?
  • Mike_13th

Lebed's emails crack me up. Here's today's email:

I strongly believe I have discovered what could become one of the BIGGEST plays of the entire summer and I am getting ready to announce it very shortly!

Funny because he pretty much says that about every one of his picks
