TIMalerts: Special Premarket Watchlists And Real-Time Trade Alerts Emailed To You!

Posted by timothysykes on Thu 12th of Jun, 2008 02:17:38 PM

As I mentioned in a press release this morning, since I’m 50% in the past few months–even while making tons of bone-headed mistakes–people have been asking for an easy way to follow my trades in real-time and while Covestor is good, it’s not exactly real-time.

So, I’ve come up with TIMalerts!

timalerts1 TIMalerts: Special Premarket Watchlists And Real Time Trade Alerts Emailed To You!

Not only will you get real-time trade alerts sent your email, you’ll also receive special pre-market watchlists at 7:30-8am…so you can plan your trades and reserve shares ahead of time. My normal daily watchlist post will go up between 9-9:30am in order to give TIMalert subscribers a borrowing advantage…hehehehehe

For only $29.95/month, or $1/day, or $297/year (annual savings of $60+ or 17%), you can subscribe to this premium service and have that advantage! Of course, I’ll still post my trades on the blog, but there will be a time delay…to give my premium subscribers an informational advantage.

Think about it, what’s $1/day—forget about saving an African child, focus on growing your accounts so one day you can save entire African villages!

This post is the official announcement, but already I’ve got a dozen or so subscribers—mostly just based on the fact that they’ve made so much $ the past few months using my strategies. After only 2-days and a hugely successful call in STXX, see some testimonials:

“Just one day into TIMalerts, my $350 gains from shorting and covering STXX today paid for an entire year of TIMalerts and like Tim I even screwed up my trade! I started with about 4300 and that is now 9K and that really has happened in about 3 months. Not Tony Ellis or Jeff Moates money, but for a 21 y/o its not bad. I’m even getting a job on top of school to help me get to 25K quicker so we can really profit freely.

-Davey

I am currently deployed to Baghdad, Iraq so I don’t have the time nor the experience to screen for these stocks like I would like to, I am truly grateful for your PICKS already covered STXX for 1.30 a share! and I subscribed for your service yesterday Thank you. You are an outstanding trading coach! Keep the great picks coming!

- gburleson1

And in case you were wondering this is all for entertainment/educational purposes, I ain’t in finance, I ain’t no financial advisor, I don’t have to use proper grammar, I can be a dick, I don’t expect you to follow my trades nor am I trying to pawn any securities onto you…as you know trading involves risks, f$#@ watching TV and getting rich, this is hard work and 90% of people lose

(how u like that for a disclaimer)

@ Anthony. IMHO There is so much hype around AAPL on both ends that it is only worth touching if it breaks it's all time high (203), which is now 15% away. That's quite a gain. It's already broken some bottom resistance, but AAPL is such a strong company that I wouldn't want to short it either for longer than a few hours. It's really a pickle. I strongly suggest you reevaluate your position tomorrow and possibly free up some capital and wait for something to develop.

"...we need to get a list going of every single small-cap oil, natural gas & coal stock. These things are hot!"

I agree. Over the next coupla' years, I see a huge fall coming on oil in general. Only reason I ever found this site is 'cause of the feeling in my gut that it's on it's way & I want a piece when it happens.
  • Smoke
What the fuck are u advertising Ty Coughlin's bullshit for? Alls he does is get people's debit/credit card numbers and uses their money for his own personal purposes!!! Why the hell are u advertising his shit on your website Tim??!! Thats bull shit bro!
  • trader@MIT,

Yeah, you called that one! What a rough fall - all over speculation of one man's health. It'll be interesting to see where we go from here, whether Apple will issue another statement.

Disclosure: I'm long AAPL, didn't setup any loss management on this one - no one can argue where this stock is going in the long-term, but the current short-term view is ugly. I'm pissed that I have capital tied up in it - lesson learned.
  • trader@MIT
More pronounced is when it broke the stops at 180 though.
  • trader@MIT
    Anthony Brown,
Early today I told you to watch for AAPL busting through stops at 175 to pick up a quick few hundred with minimum risk. You claimed that, "Good luck with AAPL busting 175. This is a retest of the lows, now time to retest those highs."

Pull up a one day chart and look at how AAPL was gone for once it busted through 175 at 1:06. That's easy scalping money on a 50k position.

    Jeff,

    You have this link.

    Alex,

Coal stocks have been the #1 performers in the market. The small caps coals are now big caps.

Look at the run of a few of them
    =======52 week low====52 week high
    JRCC 3.56 47.32
    MEE 16.01 78.72
    PCX 27.07 143.53

    SGZH.OB .40 15.55

SGZH is the small cap coal I know of. Around 100 million cap.
  • balls...or just plain nuts...
jeff is that you on frbk with the 2000 ask at 6.91?
  • trader@MIT
Right Alex, that's why oil was such an easy short, people went crazy over yesterday's crude future numbers that came in at 10:35....ROYL is an excellent example of what they did to oil.
ROYL was finally getting a correction until the numbers came out and the stock exploded from there. Something like 7.19 low to a 8.60 close.
  • JeffMoates
Tim, can you post a link to livestock where we can watch it other than on your post? My browser never works for it.
  • balls...or just plain nuts...
jeffmoates, i tried frbk at close also, same here no biters. im using this opportunity to play around with extended hours trading.
  • Short GST @ 2.52
    Long PEIX @ 2.32

Looking forward to Livestock marathon tomorrow.
  • Al
    lol
  • Alex
MIT - Yeah, you're right, but coal & gas never exploded the way these small oil stocks did. Coal and gas have been slow & steady gainers so far.
  • JeffMoates
I'm attempting to short FRBK into the close, but no biters at 6.91
  • FastMoney20
Found a gay lil stock that could double ur money every pop!!! NUBV. check it out.
  • morrisix
FRBK is lookin weak here, may go red on the day.
  • morrisix
Trader@MIT Thanks for the heads up on GLDD, caught some of it!
  • trader@MIT
I doubt it, energy tends to move together.
    FRBK is working out nicely.
  • Alex
Damn, GST was nice...we need to get a list going of every single small-cap oil, natural gas & coal stock. These things are hot!
  • Alex
Will coal and natural gas be the next big trend (like oil)?

    What do folks think?
  • Alex
    I love this line...classic Tim...

    "Think about it, what
  • trader@MIT
Rambone, nice call that MBI would close below 5 bucks
  • Rambone
    Jeff,

We left $.50 on the table in our MBI shorts. When it dipped under 5.50 support I was tempted to re-enter but don't like double trading a stock I already closed for a profit. As for a long position, we'll have to wait if it can cross 5 again. It's currently at the magic number. When they touch support they either trigger stop losses and go under the number or have a bounce. I'll keep it on my watchlist for a scalp on the long end. These heavy volume financials are loved by traders and predict more volatility to come. For now I couldn't tell what direction it's going with any certainty so I wouldn't touch it.
  • trader@MIT
Covered GLDD at 5.65 for a $534 gain
  • trader@MIT
TIM, take a look at SHFL, very very similar to PTEK, except they work with automated shufflers
  • trader@MIT
GLDD now at 5.60 from a 5.90 short
  • codyhof
That FRBK chart is looking identical to PTEK right before it shit the bed, with a big ass doji candlestick the day before it fell off the cliff.
  • Adam
thats awesome, i was eyeing the GST short but not something i had the buying power to scalp for a decent gain and im sure not holding that short over night
  • trader@MIT
    I only scalp AAPL
Short is obviously the play right now on AAPL, but I personally couldn't handle the risk. I'd only touch it if it broke the all time high of 203
  • trader@MIT
    Covered NCC @ 5.00
    Covered GST @ 2.49
    quick $800
  • Adam
rantaboutit - use think or swim
  • seattle guy
I AM IN frbk short..its crazy
MIT..what's a good entry for appl?
  • RGIlles
    Anybody in FRBK?
  • rantaboutit
damn..Ameritrade doesnt have NCC too..totally sucks...

where are u borrowing shorts from trader@MIT ?
  • trader@MIT
    short GST @ 2.57
  • trader@MIT
I'm out pretty soon if the bears don't start showing again.
Another up-tick and I'll take my current 1.8%
  • rantaboutit
NCC looks topped out...what exit are u look at trader@MIT
  • JSJ
I really love the TimAlerts Subscription idea,

I will be subscribing to it. Good call.
  • nah i woulda bought GSt on the breakout

stupid to go for 2-3%, u leave very little room for erorr and u aint nothing but a scalper, which is no way to earn good riskreward bucks
  • trader@MIT
    Short NCC @ 5.09 shooting for 2-3%
  • trader@MIT
    on the short?
  • GST is beautiful, fuuuuuuuuuuucken SEC, no more trades today... guys post here if u have the same problem:

    http://www.timothysykes.com/2008/06/04/why-the-...
  • trader@MIT
Watch NCC on the bell fade. Trading at a day high and showing resistance.
  • trader@MIT
    FRBK might be gone
  • yes moates, its all about the shares i reserve...this way there wont be a free-for-all for shares to borrow, timalert subscribers will have much better odds cuz they'll be ahead of the curve

and yes i agree realtime stock alerts are worthless....if u're addicted to my site...but many people dont have time to go scanning through all the blog comments, getting only important alerts emailed to them is a useful service, and cuz this biz model is so scalable, i can keep it cheap for everyone and still do alright
  • trader@MIT
Anyone else get into GLDD when I mentioned it at 5.90?
There is still plenty of downside.
  • JeffMoates
This might be a buy point for MBI for an overnighter too. Rambone, what do you think? With the shaky news, you think it will follow the same trend as today only just a little diminished?
  • Adam
dunno that might help, 1st time ive ever had a mix up in live chat so im not too worried about it
  • JeffMoates
Tim, do your alerts include what shares you're reserving in the morning?? Honestly, without it, in 50% of the trades you've made, the up-to-date info would be worthless.

By the way, I'm in PEIX with 5000 shares. Let's see this bitch pop tomorrow morning!
  • Use the words "create a working order", that may help
  • Adam
im always specific which is why im surprised all this happened.... but being able to call someone or chat live for free is totally worth 5 a trade plus you can borrow anything so i cant really complain. just been a weird day
  • trader@MIT
    GLDD finally begins to fade.
Shipping company rising on no use with the crude futures?
Keep your eyes on AAPL's moving average with the new lows.
  • you gotta be specific with TOS, price, shares, tickers you want
  • Al
    Sounds exciting
  • trader@MIT
    FRBK is easy borrow.
You don't need to reserve shares.
  • Adam
OMG WTF! is tos doing today... i pulled up a chat window and reserved FRBK @ 10, they reserved them at 7.10! luckily i was able to replace the order quick just come on! lol
