Special Friday The 13th Marathon LiveStock Show Between 9AM-5PM EST

Tags: Cool Opportunities, LiveStock, Milestones, TIMtv

Yup the rumors were true…tune into LiveStock all day tomorrow to help celebrate the demise of leverage loving financial firms everywhere and of course Friday the 13th!

This is gonna be the craziest 8-hour one-man finance show in the history of 8-hour one-man finance shows–not that I have a whole lotta competition. We’ve got some special guest appearances from pseudo-celebrities and financial people, a lot of cool stuff planned (aka none) and some refreshments to make things get a little whacky….I’m just prayin’ there’ll be some trades or else this could really suck. Just kidding no Livestock could ever suck nor could it ever be brought down to the ind numbingly boring/inaccurate level of CNBC–I think I really just need a hot cohost…you guys know anyone who might be interested, contact me (seriously!)

More importantly, contact me if you’re gonna be in the SoHo area of NYC anytime tomorrow, feel free to come on the show with me, I don’t care who you are, sissy value investor, PennyStocker, whoever…we’ll chat about stocks…just be sure to let me know ahead of time as we have a schedule…somewhat!

So yah, we’ll have a ton of posts tomorrow with embedded video clips, feel free to place them on your blogs/websites (especially you affiliates, detailed post coing for you guys tonight!)…you can get the code ahead of time HERE by clicking the little embed button.

For everyone else, ask me any questions you want in the comments section below, plenty o time to answer each and every one of ‘em, you will understand pennyStocking, oh yes you will!

Why I trade for a living.
Stuff like this so easy to spot:

(Jun 12-14:09) 13th_FLOOR: GST vol pouring in 2.20
    (Jun 12-14:12) 13th_FLOOR: GST more
    (Jun 12-14:12) 13th_FLOOR: 52s with vol
(Jun 12-14:13) 13th_FLOOR: fly time GST!
Jun 12-14:45) mikestreet5ter: GST to the MOOOOONN
    (Jun 12-14:46) 13th_FLOOR: don’t ya’ll love this crap?

    Hit 2.75 in 1 hour
    Beats working

    NKB,

I have the scrolling HOD list up on 1 monitor at all times so I don’t miss these kinds very often.

When I see a stock like GST start to roll on that list I immediately pull up a 1 and 5 minute chart on one of my other monitors to look for volume spikes.

If you look at a 5 minute chart on GST yesterday you’ll see 2 huge volume spikes that preceded GST big move.

With using this method I feel I have a big edge over alot of other folks in that I can get in way before them and then sell the shares to the late comers after I’ve gotten a nice profit.

    If you go to:
    http://greenonthescreen.blogspot.com/
and look at my post from Sunday June 1 titled “I’M GONNA TRY” you’ll see what my #1 and #2 favorite angles are.
Both involve the scrolling HOD list!

    1. I can not live without the scrolling Scott hod lists.
Muddy showed me how it was possible to get 20,30,40,even over 50% profits in minutes to a few hours using this. Last week I caught MESA and LGND almost at the start of their runs.
Never had them on any lists, only saw them on the hod list, which brings me to this…….

    2. KNOWING former runners and stocks that have hit these scans I run more than normal stocks do. Both MESA and LGND I knew from that way.The only way to get them in your head is to study each nights scans and either write down multiple repeaters or try to remember them.
Watching hours of scrolling hod list helps a bunch too

    What software do you use?

    June 13th, 2008 at 8:16 am

sniper what u got, i dont see many good setups at all

  16. 16sniper6

    June 13th, 2008 at 8:34 am

Tim- probly nothing you’d like but, watching for a scalp up on XNL and SHFL to start with; for a quick downward move on PEIX before buyers take it back up from yesterday’s bitchslap, probably gonna buy long FXP. And, much as you hate it, going to re-short AQQ (pending availability) which has been my personal piggy bank for the last week. Ridiculous. That mofo is pathetic, just wish it would get some volume.

Limited time to trade today…sucks…I’m starting to get hooked on this stock market shit.

    June 13th, 2008 at 8:37 am

And for my coup de grace I am considering shorting GS, who is the fattest bitch at the pig party known as the financial sector.

For accounting purposes what do you guys use to keep track of all your trades?

  19. 19Webster

    June 13th, 2008 at 8:50 am

I have TD Ameritrade and they have GainsKeeper as part of your account that keeps track of everything for you.

  20. 20Ryan

    June 13th, 2008 at 8:59 am

Keith, most of the brokers allow you to download your trades to your computer, you can download all your trades every month (to make life simpler) on spreadsheet.

    June 13th, 2008 at 8:59 am

    trader@mit,

If you mean the scrolling hod list,I get it from Scottrade.
I keep the minimum $500 in Scott just to use that list.
All my trading because I love to short is done with IB.

no special software just IB and Scott platforms.
    For scanning i use Stockfetcher

    June 13th, 2008 at 9:42 am

Mike is it under market movers? How do you read it it scrolls so fast? Is there a way you can stop and hold it?

  23. 23Mike_13th

    June 13th, 2008 at 6:21 pm

    Keith,
yes it’s under market movers and until you train your eyes to follow it,you can freeze and refreeze it by holding down the maximize tab at the top of the screen, release it and it will start again.

Also if you didn’t know ones on that list highlighted in green are stocks hitting new 52 week highs at the moment and ones highlighted in blue will be the ones on whatever watchlist you have up behind that hod list.

  31. 31timothysykes

    June 14th, 2008 at 11:00 am

oh its harsh to play by the rules huh? u guys are used to too many sales/marketing guys who just do stuff for more sales…i’m first and foremost a teacher, my products only help me better serve u in that capacity, so i don’t care if the harsh reality turns people off giving me less sales, i’ve taught a good lesson and thats most important. next contest i’ll be more clear as to the closest correct answer wins the dvd
