    Jens, nope. I’m on TDA. Each brokerage has a certain number of shares they are able to sell short. I am assuming yours has some excess. TDA is out. Maybe i’ll subscribe to the Tim Sykes ‘No Sleep So I Can Make Dumb Mistakes With My Own Strategy’ Method tomorrow and get some at 6AM.

    no PDO drop was easy to spot, MXC started tanked 2-3 minutes before it, writing was on the wall, i tried shorting 300 at $29, then $28, then $27,none got executed…signs of breakdown were yesterday afternoon, no different than CNEX for me, gotta take some pain or risk missing the dropoff

    I couldn’t help myself and got in FPP early yesterday at $7.80 … was not worth the stress as it moved to new hod. I held though as with 30% downside potential I was willing to take 10% max pain … did it ever come close. I’ve more shares reserved for today and committed to myself I would not try to anticipate a morning drop or jump in but rather wait for the bounce and hopefully afternoon fade. It couldn’t even bounce to through $7 though.

    CRED is looking like FPP and PDO yesterday, strong start, meager finish. I’m probably going to hold my short at 18 overnight unless it cracks 17.10 and gives me another $500 or so. Holy shit, just as I said that, it dropped to 16.75. I had a cover order in at 17 and cancelled it just in time!!! Woo HOO!!!

    sniper, who cares about making wild markt predictions, our opinions are meaningless, its all about profiting from PREDICTABLE patterns…odds of a dow tankage of 150+ are probly 20-30%, odds of PDO/FPP closing weak and gapping down tomorrow 70-90%

SIGH…any of you guys experience something like this? Where you sell out of a long position and the price they give you is $7 off? They said its b/c its on the AMEX and something about primary exchange prices.

KYUS looks very strong right now – although I’d want to short this thing like crazy if it pushes $4 I won’t. I think Tim would ideally like to see it push $4.80 so it’s at least a double since starting its run at $2.40. I finally ordered Tim’s DVD to understand more of the variables I’m sure I still don’t understand.

Our Stock Loan department is the specialty department that works closely with your Platinum broker to make sure that all clients have a good variety of stock to short, especially those hard to borrow positions. When a client cannot place the trade online, through your Platinum broker we are able to contact our Stock Loan department to find if shares are in oru inventory and if we do not have them, to try to find these shares outside of E*Trade. Though we currently do not have the ThinkorSwim feature of reserving shares, their procedure of finding available shares when they do not have them in their inventory is exactly the same as ours. However, we want you to know that reserving shares may become available in the near future. For now, please know that the Platinum Group and our Stock Loan department will work hard to make sure that any and all trades you wish to place will be possible and stock readily available.”

    Tim the reason i went in at 22.50 when i did was bc i saw the spike to 23.29 and then it came back to 22 right away. i guess it was a fake out for the short term but no looks to have been a preview of good things to come

    Shorted 230 shares FPP on this afternoon fade at $5.70. Got a little bounce here to $5.90 as I write this but no worries. Will most likely hold through the close as it will probably gap down tomorrow.

    Finally was able to make some money with HYBR and PEIX, closed half my position in hybr since the illiquiduty is scary with up to a 30 cents spread sometimes, right now 15 cents.

    I am more confident on this tahn os PEIX since this is not an oil play

    Just got done talking w/ the trade desk at TOS. They say that when I sold at 9:38pm the AMEX exchange in chicago was not open yet and the price I got was premarket. Then why would I see a different price on my screen? sigh. Also they said that MXC was not liquid at the time I sold and I was %10 percent of the order.

    Im glad yall are making some money today. Sucks that I had to sit out, I would have been long on PDO, ROYL, and FPP. I’d if I would have been able to collect my gap up profit quick enough before the sellers would have come in or not.

    Looks like it was an easy day to make some money.
    Easier if you have over 25K+ in your acct.

    Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret my move to buy FPP last night before closing. However, no matter how many times you say “I will not get greedy”, when it comes right down to it…that shit takes practice!

    I picked up FPP yesterday at 7.10 and this morning when it was up to 7.95 I thought “come on, 8.00 you whore”…why? does 5 cents really make that big of a difference?

    Yeah, well I sold it quite a bit lower and took a loss. I just wanted to put this out here because I HAD this bitch nailed down, and then I screwed up and got greedy. An 11% gain in less than 10 minutes would have been great…but I boned myself.
