Many thanks for making the first LiveStock show a great success (use that link to watch all past and future shows…for some reason the video player doesn’t get along with my site)—now we’ve got a regular weekly live time slot: every Friday afternoon from 1-2pm EST. That’s right, have your questions and tickers ready cuz it’s gonna be live and interactive, then viewable forever (on that little on demand tab) and ever. Maybe you guys could help me out by posting some questions in the comments section so I can make sure they get answered!
As you can see from the banner below, this ain’t your typical finance show—I’m just as likely to knock back a few drinks on air as I am to have some surprise guests…possibly some female models…or industry professionals…mixed in with some music videos and comedy sketches. That’s right, since it’s my name up there, I’m determined to make this sh@# fun at all costs! And, just like the market itself, it ain’t gonna be very predictable and therein lies its beauty!
PS Notice I didn’t have ANY stock picks in the first show—although both stocks featured, KENTUCKY USA ENERGY INC (KYUS) and CabelTel International Corp. (GBR), tanked 20% the next trading day, no doubt caused/helped by my dark gift—I’m not just gonna spout my opinion about 100 stocks, after all, my opinion is meaningless. What I aim to teach in real-time, as my PennyStocking DVD taught you the basics / gave you a foundation from which to build, is how to profit when certain players and variables arise to create predictable patterns aka random stock picking is for chumps.

I am gonna cover now….. I said now…..not really, trail order with 0.2 target, thats it.
$400 profit on PDO from $20 short to $18 cover. I was asking to get too much out of this one with a target of $16. If oil didn’t bounce so hard and PDO wasn’t holding $18 so well I would have held on.
Glad I have Fridays off - Shoot I may even kick back 1 with ya ;)
Finally.
Shorted 600 FPP at 5.35 then 200 at 5.49 then 200 at 5.70. Following day tried to short more at 8, but no shares! Tried again the next day but still no shares! Finally used my TOS account to reserve shares and next day shorted 1000 at 6.23 and covered that at 5.55. Covered 500 more at 4.91 into the weekend. Covered the last 500 at 4.41. Not a trade I’d recommend, but held onto the conviction its absurd valuation was based solely on the news of another company, in addition to watching insiders sell into the spike in their stock price. Looks like its tanking more but good riddance!

JensGould - I hear you on playing these solely based on their absurd price - one concern I have though is being forced to cover. I’ve only a few short trades now under my belt so I’ve no idea how often that happens - but it would royally suck to short some fraud like KYUS as a long-term short only to be forced to cover on a spike to a much higher price.
Crap … PDO just fell through $18 … now should be resistance. Not going to reshort at these levels though … next!

Looks pretty good right now CPSL. If you can get by 5.88 you should get down to 5.8 or so. Do you have an exit #?
out of my reshort of NTI at $13, +60 cents on 350 shares, up $400 on the day, solid scalps, wish i could be more longterm, but i’ve got livestock sketches to write and this could spike yet again today and tomorrow…not an ideal fader on first down day…yet
5.52 typed in. i am thinking if it breaks 5.76 it may get there. if liquidity holds up at that price then 5.46 b/d then look out below…
Be careful still some resistance around 5.93 and this could pop back up over 6 on you.

whats next guys… what are we all watching now
question for someone…I have shorted but never had to call to reserve shares…when u call to reserve shares with your broker, …you say 500 @ $4.50 (for example)
How long are they reserved for? until market closes?
And do you have to use them?

evan intraday patterns on spam stocks are irrelevant, just a sign of when people received more spam…u got a big dip, but as MXFD and HYBR prove, not all spam stocks crash…hopefully u get a BSHF type crash but even that had multiple fakeouts before
Shorted NTI at 14.25, 500 shares
i’m chicken out of cpsl at 5.95 just a few dollars. but hey i’m new at this. need to view dvd’s again…
cpsl will probably drop now. LOL
careful moates, when i shorted, it was just a morning squeeze, now its a gradual riser….bigggggg difference
True that, at 14.60 now, I have some room to average up so I’m going to wait and see what this does.

SWAT up 79%, good volume, low % short interest, does this one have the legs to run up further? Quite a range on the price for today, maybe looking to break down?

Covered NTI at 13.95 and 13.90 for about $145 scalp. Not bad considering the downside…

Tim, here’s another bug with your site: Looks like your programmer is using some DHTML or some kind of dynamic programming for mouseovers on this message board. Whenever I mouseover the last message posted, the “Add a Comment!” banner disappears, and reappears as I move my mouse away from the last comment. The bug is applicable to the text and the individual banner with our name and pic in it. There is a small divider point (maybe a spacer, transparent image, etc…) between the banner of the post and the actual post’s text that does not make this error occur.

FPP is gradually gaining momentum. Webster, you still in it or did you cover for a loss?
Holding strong right now. Will watch it and if the demand starts to wane a bit, might add a bit more. These oil plays are tricky though.

I’m thinking if it continues on this upward trend for about the next 45 minutes, I might go long on it overnight. You can’t argue with momentum.
I made a slightly dumb move and Shorted FPP at 4.45. Going to hang on for a bit longer and take a loss if need be. With the momentum would be a bit scary to hold overnight.

I dunno, breaking over 6 month trend. I like it for a quick scalp up, and it should gap up tomorrow morning. But, I got limited buying power today personally so I will probably watch it for a breakdown, maybe go short tomorrow p.m. if a pattern developes.

Huge 17,500 share buy on FPP scares me a bit
closed NTI @ 13.70 got in at 13.95 too risk on that one right now, at least i was up .25 a share. i’ll come back to it tomorrow
