My Latest AOL Finance Article: True Religion Apparel, Inc. (TRLG)

Tags: AOL, Breakouts, Hot Stocks, Patterns To Buy

I’m a short seller so I’m lookin’ and lookin’ for stuff to short and other than KYUS, which had no shares available…anywhere…today at least, all I seem to find lately are perfect breakout plays of real companies! Charts like Third Wave Technologies, Inc. (TWTI), which I mentioned in this morning’s post, and now True Religion Apparel, Inc. (TRLG), which I just detailed in THIS AOL Finance post.

While neither are right for PennyStocking or any short term trading for me, they both have a lot going for them and probly wouldn’t make such bad investments. (Uhhhh I can’t believe I just used the word “investents”. I feel dirty. Blehhhh.) But seriously TWTI is a pure play for testing HPV, an STD that’s infected 20 million Americans and 6 million new ones each year. Good business to be in, even if their losses are substantial…especially if it can truly confirm this breakout by cracking its 2001 $11 IPO price…

And TRLG well, read that AOL article, this could be a fakeout–as the stock has been known to spike then retreat–but the variables are aligned for a substantial short squeeze

Who knows, this ain’t my game, I have the dark gift–everything I write about turns to sh#@–but maybe just maybe, considering these stocks are breaking out in a pretty tough market environment, they have the willpower to push forward. Time will tell, coudln’t hurt–too much–to tell you guys about ‘em.

Okay back in I reshorted 1000 shares of FPP at 5.27

  37. 37Nodin

    May 27th, 2008 at 3:13 pm

Webster: how the hell did you find FPP shares to short right now? what are you using?

  38. 38Webster

    May 27th, 2008 at 3:17 pm

Learned a trick. In the morning at 8:00am est I put in multiple orders at a higher price than what I will buy for. That way I have 2 or 3 open order throughout the day that I can pull the trigger on and just lower my buy price. So I am still sitting on some FPP open orders right now.

  39. 39JeffMoates

    May 27th, 2008 at 3:27 pm

TDA has plenty of FPP shares to short, re-shorted 4700 at 5.22ish. Webster, you thinking about holding overnight?

VVUS is still riding the news wave. It’ll dip again.

  42. 42Nodin

    May 27th, 2008 at 3:51 pm

IB sucks….I’ve been trying to short for an hour and nothing….and its only a tiny…300 shares order…crap…are you guys holding overnight??

  43. 43timothysykes

    May 27th, 2008 at 7:11 pm

VVUS to $5? too funny dude, u might get $6.50 or even ^, other than that have fun holding, risking further squeezes for weeks/months
