Stock Puppets: A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cutting Through Industry BS

When I created this book-blog-DVD publishing business model that is BullShip Press, LLC, I figured I’d repeat my feat, become the top ranked / most popular guy on Covestor, show everyone exactly how to turn thousands into millions trading fantastically predictable penny stocks without using any leverage whatsoever, cut through all the industry corruption and ego, teach a few people and many former suckers how to profit from it, and piss a few others off by promoting my book An American Hedge Fund and instructional DVD PennyStocking in EVERY blog post (cuz they’re that important / helpful / necessary and help cut down too many questions / emails I get).
Everything’s been going well—and then, a few weeks ago, I discovered some bastard using a variation of my name, “timsykus1” on the animalistic Yahoo! message boards. I did some research and discovered the term for this kind of deceit is a “sock puppet”. I thought, okay, that was bound to happen, ignore it.
Flash forward to last night when I’m doing my nightly screen for potential pump and dumps and I come upon VRML, a miserably failing biotech in the same vein as its Paulie-from-the-movie-Rocky-like relatives REED, PSTI and VION, all of which were great to short sell into. And lo and behold, who do I see promoting this thing that belongs in a toilet—yup, “timsykus1” again, using my good name—at least to those who are blind in one eye—to pump this stock!
Unfortunately for this soulless pumper, you can click his message history and see that the last dozen of his “picks” hit their highs the very same day he posted about it, before each of them nosedived over the next few days. Huh, imagine that! What are the odds?!?! LOL
After this post, he’ll probly resort to using his many other aliases, but this won’t be the last time we see of this kind of hoax—just the cost of doing business in the gutter.
Therefore, I hereby declare all who partake in such deceptive practices—when it applies to manipulating stocks—to be called “stockpuppets”. Let Wikipedia and all you who serve the Wikipedia kingdom acknowledge this term.
PS As for what I think of VRML, I am short at an $4.34 average price, I don’t want to be, I’ll probly be okay, long story, all told in the comments section of THIS post

Tim, at the order entry on TOS maybe you should click on “working only” in order to view only the open orders. So you won’t lose track of which orders are still working or cancelled.

nice shthappns, have u seen my DVD? just wondering cuz i’m gonna post about all these people profiting from pennystocking
when you’re in a trade u never meant to be, u get down $2k or 2 months worth of work, u count your stars when u get a chance to take a $170 loss…yes it’d now be a $1k gain, but thats how i roll, conservatively…people can and WILL do better than me, my job is just to show them the risks and rewards and how to control mistakes/losses

Tim,
Thank you very much for this board, thank you for whoever brought VRML thingie here. Shorted the heck out of VRML today and make tons of money. Scottrade did not let me short below $5 so I had to made a limit order of $5.01 on 1300 shares. Then Ameritrade let me place a short order even below $5. I had 2000 shares at Ameritrade shorted at $4.65. Unlike Tim, I have to go to work and can sneak in the web to check this board and check the market. Got busy at work, couldn’t check any earlier. Both my orders were executed and VRML had falled at $3.70 by the time finally I got a chance to check the market. Covered all 3300 shares at $3.70. This shit is still dropping. Tim, and somebody else whoever brought VRML on this board, thank you both!!

Tim, not to make it a competition for stupid moves or anything, but I think I have yours beat. I shorted VRML @ 4.00 and watched as my bank roll from LNG slowly faded away. Then, out of nowhere a godsend! It tanks, I’m up $429 now, but WAIT! I can’t sell the shit. I have done too many day trades in too short amount of time! Talk about a stupid play, now I’m patiently hoping this thing doesn’t rebound AGAIN and can sell it in an early morning drop or something.

Tried to see if I could reserve some shares of VRML to short today at TOS. My question is this. They told me that they would try to get the shares for me, but that then I would have to place the order. Are there any rules anybody can tell me on how to set your sales price?

Jdubya–thats why i shorted at 4, i put the order in waaaaay above the current price, but since i didnt have enough buying power, i couldnt put it at like 10 or 20 so i stupidly got executed and alost lost $2k…gotta be careful
investorslive–yeah stil having feed isuess, all wil be fixed shortly
will–never short random crap like yhoo or tklc, those are real companies, i prefer frauds!
