I linked the membership page to my name. Supposedly Etrade is insured also, so if they go bankrupt your money will be stuck for 1 to 3 months (a pain, but better than losing it). After hearing about etrade possibly going bankrupt, I wanted to check out thinkorswim – they are a member of FINRA, so are insured for $100,000 cash per account, and $400,000 for securities in the account.
