I know I'm sort of talking to myself on this one, but that's cool....

A couple more things I've learned being forced to watch SAY all day (I'm stuck in it and my account is small, so it's all I got going on)

The daily chart shows a perfect cup and handle breakout today (+7%) It also broke out above the previous high (sykes high) and I'm sure some shorts had stops triggered above 5.50.

It seems like strong hands are acquiring. Power moves up and little shakeout on dips - true dat it's hi beta, so take the up move FWIW

I think it was priced to go out of business and it's been resuscitated, merged, and is seeking it's new value. The acquisition locked up 50% of the float.

Here's the good part: There's a weird fanboy thing going on among Indian retail traders (sic.) They will be taking distribution at the appropriate time.

Just sayin. Might be overbought but it sure ain't a short. Yet.

It was breaking out to new highs on this year. I don't know how many shares were available, etc, but I'm saying it was predictable - are you disagreeing with me on this?

Meh...we'll have to agree to disagree then...

I could plunk down 10K, be one of a couple buyers of a stock to move it 17% in few seconds at 15:26 EST, and somehow, other traders could have bought into that citing a technical breakout? Of course not... you either were in at 15:26 when it was flat (and you guessed at it) or you missed it at 15:27. Breakouts aren't 2 second moves where it was flat before and flat after and occurred on 5000 shares.

Now if it breaks to new highs on volume from here, maybe you can say a breakout is happening and I'll concede, but with the 15:27 "breakout", no one could have bought that on the way up without guessing it to the exact few seconds and even then, maybe getting a couple hundred shares at best.

bigthinker, yes 7:01 am est.

and I most likely stupidly held VHC, but I told myself to dump if it went green and it never did. I will probably get squeezed further in the morning.....

sola -

You can play technicals with anything in pennystocking, that is what this system is about. Following price action! You just have to manage your risks. 4 was previous resistance so you know if it was going to make a push into close it could definitely break that.

It would have been gutsy to play - no doubt - but the point is that what happened MADE SENSE and was predictable.

I don't know if you can really play technicals with OHB.

It only took under 10K shares to take it 17% up.

Also, they just had a release today where they performed a debt exchange with some lenders (perhaps the cause of the pop) but noted if their other lenders don't renegotiate their debt in the next two weeks, they don't have the liquidity to continue...
