On Girls And Choosing The Right Stock Trades

Watch these 7 free video lessons on how I became a millionaire

So, the other night I saw There Will Be Blood for a second time (it’s even better that way—I swear a review is coming) with a girl that stuck out from the crowd; we’ll call her The Coolest Girl in New York, or (TCGNY). Being a pseudo-celebrity, single and a pretty sociable guy, I meet a ton of girls, but like the stocks I trade, most are complete crap. Like (Nasdaq: AKNS), the perfect ones are few and far between. TCGNY is one of them. She is beautiful, smart, and funny and she knows her movies, an extremely rare combination to be sure, but it’s that special feeling I got hanging out with her that makes her different from the others.

Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t expecting to meet TCGNY at all. Herein lies the beauty of the example and why I make the comparison between TCGNY and AKNS. Remember this: TIM Lesson: The best opportunities stand out far above the rest. Just as when you go out looking for the perfect girl, you’re bound to fail, so too will you fail at trying to find the perfect stock trade, day in and day out. There’s thousands of stocks with trillions of pricing possibilities, but you can’t expect to take advantage of every one of them. If you have patience and wait for them to appear out of the blue, and you profit from just a few of them, you’re waaaay ahead of everyone else – remember 80-90% of traders lose money. This is not an easy profession to master, but it’s worth the effort.

Hopefully I do better with TCGNY than I did with AKNS, I really need to make sure I don’t screw it up – the good news it’s in my hands, just the way I like it. For starters, let’s see what she thinks of this blog post!

Tim, how about those of us that cannot play the short game? I read your book, and the first million that you made you said you made with buying at the dips and selling into the rallies and then after some time you were approved for margin and short selling. Some how I got the idea that you frown upon those that want to do the same. Correct me if please.

  • tape08

Sorry… I meant to write ‘correct me if I’m wrong’.

SUF, PRKR, MDTL on my short watchlist, SUF at the top.

What’s a good entry for MHY? Shouldn’t it be around $6.3ish since that seems to be its peak six months back?

  • Reaper

MHY too illiquid to short … the bids just never appeared today. *sigh*

  • prognesubis

Pallian, the livestock broadcasts dont seem to work all the time, it took mine 2 minutes loading just to display 2 secs of broadcast? Any suggestions?

  • billydslc

Watchfrog does your ISP have a filter you can look at. Some of my TimAlerts have been caught this week and I have to go free them from the filter. You may want to check on adding timalerts to a whitelist.

    Billy

  • WatchFrog08

It looks like the last time I got a timalert was either Friday or Monday. Dont have access to any Filter. I already checked all my spam folders so that’s not an issue. If you can change where you send my timalerts thats’ fine. If you could change it to watchfrog@gmail.com that would be great!
